(The westbound service will operate on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, while the eastbound flight will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pro tips: <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/credit-cards\/travel-rewards-credit-card-mistakes\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> The biggest mistakes people make with travel rewards credit cards<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flights from Tokyo will depart at 4:30 p.m. and land in Ulaanbaatar at 8:55 p.m. The return service will leave at 9:55 a.m. and land in Toyko at 3:45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>United plans seasonal service in this new market with flights scheduled to end on Oct. 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>These flights are timed to connect with United&#8217;s primary transpacific departure and arrival banks from Narita. That said, Guam hasn&#8217;t been as busy or lucrative as it has in the past, so United seems to be experimenting with new uses for the jets it stations in Micronesia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flight review: <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/airline\/united-premium-economy-europe\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> Is United Airlines premium economy worth it to Europe?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fact, United has been busy in recent months turning its presence at NRT into a de facto gateway hub within the larger region. The airline recently commenced new flights <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/news\/united-airlines-new-routes-morocco-colombia\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">from Tokyo to Cebu in the Philippines<\/a>, and now it&#8217;s adding three more short-haul regional routes from the airport (Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Koror, Palau; and Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia).<\/p>\n<p>United says that its joint venture partnership with Japanese airline All Nippon Airways will help these routes take off. (For instance, ANA doesn&#8217;t currently fly from Narita to Ulaanbaatar.) The new flights will also be supported by travelers looking for one-stop connections from the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are thinking about Tokyo differently than how it&#8217;s been thought of in the past. I think Tokyo is a real asset to us. &#8230; And when we went through the data, a lot of this traffic was connecting over Beijing, but is not doing so anymore. And so this is a way to connect it over Tokyo,&#8221; United&#8217;s network chief Patrick Quayle told TPG back when the routes were announced in October.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to book the new route, one-way fares start at $326 in economy and $753 in business class.
