Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a> made an interesting impression on now-wife Kylie Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s parents when they were introduced.<\/p>\n

\u201cJason first met my family at my aunt\u2019s house in Northeast Philadelphia,\u201d Kylie, 32, said in a Monday, January 20, clip of her \u201cNot Gonna Lie\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI extended an invitation to him because my family always has an open-door policy for whoever wants to come. I thought, for sure, that he would say no \u2014 and then he didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cHe ended up in an above-ground [swimming] pool in the front yard of my aunt\u2019s house. He actually nailed that first impression<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kylie and Jason, 37, started dating in 2015 after matching on the dating app Tinder<\/a>. Initially, Kylie was unaware that Jason played football for the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> until they met in person. (Jason retired in 2024 after 14 seasons with the Philly team.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt was hardly love at first swipe for Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce. \u201c[My friends and I] were just messing around, so I swiped right,\u201d Kylie, 32, said of coming across her now-husband\u2019s Tinder account during the Sunday, January 12, episode of the \u201cSunday Sports Club\u201d podcast. \u201cWe matched [and] I sent him [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy family thought he was a good time,\u201d Kylie recalled. \u201cHe was very sweet and it eased my dad\u2019s worries about the fact that I was dating a professional athlete because, you know, not a great reputation going on for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason and Kylie dated for three years<\/a> before he proposed outside of her parents\u2019 house.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a weekend at training camp, so I was fully convinced that we were not getting engaged for another year. \u2026 Once football starts, it\u2019s football. There is nothing else,\u201d Kylie previously said<\/a> during a January episode of Allison Kuch<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cSunday Sports Club\u201d podcast, noting he popped the question after they left dinner with her folks.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWe go outside, we get in the car, we\u2019re ready to leave and Jason turns and is like, \u2018I gotta run back in.\u2019 And I said, \u2018Really? This is the time you have to take a s\u2014? \u2026 Hurry up.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJason Kelce knew his connection with Kylie Kelce was \u201cdifferent\u201d after she laughed off his embarrassing moment on their second date. \u201cWell, the first swipe, [I knew] she was the most beautiful person I\u2019d ever seen on [Tinder], so that\u2019s why it was different right away,\u201d Jason, 36, recalled during an appearance on the Tuesday, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jason was actually asking for her parents\u2019 blessing to propose, returning to Kylie less than five minutes later.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know my husband. That wasn\u2019t enough time to take a s\u2014,\u201d she told Kuch, 30. \u201cSo he gets back in the car and I straight up said, \u2018Go back in there and finish your business.\u2019 The whole time, he\u2019s just silent and fidgeting. He\u2019s like, \u2018I don\u2019t need to take a s\u2014.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason then told Kylie, \u201cThis isn\u2019t the most romantic way to do this, but I need you to get out of the truck.\u201d<\/p>\n
