Yesterday, Instagram announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2025\/1\/19\/24347358\/instagram-edits-capcut-video-app-tiktok-ban\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a new rival<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2025\/1\/19\/24347399\/tiktok-ban-marvel-snap-capcut-lemon8-bytedance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CapCut<\/a> \u2014 the video editor owned by TikTok\u2019s parent ByteDance \u2014 just after it went offline in the US.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph mb-20 font-fkroman text-18 leading-160 -tracking-1 selection:bg-franklin-20 dark:text-white dark:selection:bg-blurple [&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-franklin dark:[&amp;_a:hover]:shadow-highlight-blurple [&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-black dark:[&amp;_a]:shadow-underline-white\">\u201cWe had to get in on the video action too,\u201d said Bluesky with the launch of customizable feeds for videos.
