Tyra Banks<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about losing her Los Angeles home.<\/p>\n

The supermodel, 51, revealed Monday, January 20, on Australian morning show Sunrise<\/em><\/a> that she is among the celebrities whose house burned down in the devastating wildfires<\/a> that began January 7.<\/p>\n

Banks said she and her partner, businessman Louis B\u00e9langer-Martin<\/strong>, learned the sad news while in Australia, where she splits her time when not in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lost my house,\u201d the former America\u2019s Next Top Model<\/em><\/a> host shared. \u201cI haven\u2019t really talked about it, but, yeah, I have. I just didn\u2019t want to pull a lot of attention to me. I feel like there\u2019s a lot of people that need that attention, so I haven\u2019t really talked about it, but I can\u2019t sit here and not tell the truth that, yeah, we lost our house.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs wildfires continue to spread across the Los Angeles area, several celebrities are taking to social media to share how they have been affected. \u201cEvacuated and safe with kids, dog and cats. Praying and grateful for the first responders,\u201d Mandy Moore wrote in a Wednesday, January 8, Instagram Story statement. In a follow-up post, she [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Banks continued, \u201cWe were at a friend\u2019s house here and we were celebrating and having fun. I kept checking my phone, not for my house, but for friends and family, making sure they were evacuating and everything. And then I asked my partner, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m seeing something here, what do you think?\u2019 and he [nodded]. And I just pulled it together and just didn\u2019t say anything to my friends and just stayed in that moment, and then we went home and we cried and we had our moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Banks noted that she and B\u00e9langer-Martin split their time between Australia and New York, so most of her belongings are safe. \u201cA lot of those memento-mementos are here and in New York, so I didn\u2019t lose that, thank goodness,\u201d she said. \u201cThere were some mementos that we lost \u2026 it\u2019s tough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fueled by powerful Santa Ana wind gusts and dry conditions, the wildfires decimated thousands of homes, displacing residents across Los Angeles, and killed at least 25 people. According to the Associated Press<\/em><\/a>, the fires burned through 63 square miles of land.<\/p>\n

Stars including Spencer Pratt<\/strong> and Heidi Montag<\/strong><\/a>, Paris Hilton<\/strong><\/a> and Billy Crystal<\/strong> also lost their homes in the fires.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t know what to do,\u201d Montag told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, January 15, referring to the moment she realized she and her family had to flee the uncontrolled fire burning through the Pacific Palisades. \u201cNothing could have prepared me for that \u2026 You just can\u2019t wrap your head around it. I started just packing things that made sense \u2014 I wasn\u2019t really thinking about anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n
