\t\t<\/p>\n Chris Evans<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 portrayal of Captain America<\/strong><\/a> will go down in history as one of the best casting decisions in history.<\/p>\n Casting the actor as Steve Rogers took his star power to the next level and is widely regarded as a prime example of Marvel<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s consistently spot-on casting decisions. However, we came pretty close to having someone else carry the hero\u2019s iconic shield. <\/p>\n The actor is so well-cast in the role that it\u2019s like he\u2019s playing himself. But Chris <\/strong>initially turned it down<\/a> not once but twice.<\/p>\n Who might have been cast if he never agreed to lead the Avengers?
