Christopher Walken<\/strong><\/a> has fond memories of dancing with both Judy Garland<\/strong><\/a> and Liza Minnelli<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Walked, 81, appeared on SiriusXM\u2019s \u201cTown Hall,\u201d<\/a> hosted by Andy Cohen<\/strong>, on Thursday, January 16, where Cohen, 56, asked, \u201cI read you danced with a young Liza Minnelli. Do you remember that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Walken replied, \u201cWe did an Off-Broadway musical called Best Foot Forward<\/em>. 1962. Well, she was 16 years old, I remember.\u201d At the time, Walken would have been about 19 years old. Cohen followed up by asking the Dune: Part Two<\/em> star, \u201cCould you see it then that she had it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Walken said, \u201cOh, absolutely.\u201d He shared that he had even been invited to Minnelli\u2019s 16th birthday party, where he had a special moment with Garland, his costar\u2019s mother. \u201cHer mom gave a sweet 16 birthday party for her,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLiza Minnelli called her mother, Judy Garland, the \u201cmost challenging\u201d part of her childhood. \u201cMy mother was fascinating because she knew so many fascinating people who would come over,\u201d Minnelli, 78, said in an Interview magazine profile published Wednesday, October 16. She also spoke about her father, Vincente Minnelli, referring to him as the \u201cmost [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI remember I danced with Judy Garland,\u201d he continued, adding that the Wizard of Oz<\/em> actress was not only a good dancer, but \u201cvery good looking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walken\u2019s acting career is diverse, spanning both the stage and screen. He is currently starring in the AppleTV+ series Severance<\/em>, which premiered its second season on Friday, January 17. In a 2014 interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, Minnelli praised her Best Foot Forward<\/em> costar as a true musical actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can see the glint in his eye every time he has the opportunity to dance on screen,\u201d she said at the time. Walken seemingly agreed with Minnelli, telling the outlet, \u201cI\u2019m kind of an actor by way of musical comedy. That\u2019s really my education, musicals.\u201d<\/p>\n

With a career spanning almost seven decades, Walken is an old school kind of guy, even when it comes to watching his own projects. Currently starring on Severance<\/em>, Walken shared on Thursday\u2019s \u201cTown Hall\u201d that he hasn\u2019t seen every episode because he does not stream the series. Instead, he receives DVDs of each new episode.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have the equipment<\/a>,\u201d he explained. \u201cSo they\u2019re good enough to send me DVDs.\u201d When Cohen further pressed Walken by asking if the actor had a subscription to the AppleTV+ streaming platform, he said, \u201cI don\u2019t have anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
