Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> broke her silence regarding the wildfires in Los Angeles, and she issued a statement revealing the multiple charities she donated to.<\/p>\n \u201cThe fires in California have devastated so many families, and it\u2019s been heartbreaking to see the stories unfold,\u201d Taylor, 35, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 16. \u201cSo much suffering, loss and destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cCornelia Street\u201d singer<\/a> continued, \u201cAs so many embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor then listed a handful of charities that people could donate to, including California Community Foundation Fund, Direct Relief, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, MusiCares, Greater Los Angeles Education Relief, Habitat for Humanity and others.<\/p>\n \u201cThese are the organizations I\u2019ve donated to,\u201d she concluded. \u201cIf you feel compelled or able to donate, please do.\u201d<\/p>\n At least 27 people have died in the Eaton and Palisades fires at the time of publication, according to officials. The fires \u2013 which erupted on January 7 \u2013 have caused damage to thousands of structures and approximately 180,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes.<\/p>\n Taylor owns a home in Beverly Hills, though the various fires have not reached her property.<\/p>\n While Taylor\u2019s California home is currently safe, many celebrities have lost their houses amid the wildfires.<\/p>\n Milo Ventimiglia<\/strong> previously opened up about losing his home to the fires, and he spoke to CBS News<\/em><\/a> while returning to the property after he was forced to evacuate. \u201cYou start thinking about all the memories in different parts of the house and what not and then you see your neighbors houses and everything kind of around and your heart just breaks,\u201d Milo, 47, said.<\/p>\n Other celebrities that have also lost their homes include Leighton Meester<\/strong> and Adam Brody, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joshua Jackson, Anna Faris, Cameron Mathison, Spencer Pratt<\/strong> and Heidi Montag<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Spencer, 41, and Heidi, 38<\/span><\/a>, have been <\/span>open about the tragedy of losing their home<\/span><\/a>, and they recalled having to evacuate with their sons, Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2, during the Wednesday, January 15, episode of Good Morning America<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cSpencer was like, \u2018Grab anything you want to keep,\u2019 \u201d Heidi said through tears. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018How do you choose?\u2019 You know? My brain stopped working because I was so overwhelmed with so many things you can\u2019t replace. So I grabbed my kids\u2019 teddy bears.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Spencer said he got emotional watching their sons\u2019 bedrooms burn down on their cameras. \u201cThe worst was like our kid\u2019s room that was so magical,\u201d he said. \u201cWe do story time each night, it\u2019s like our routine, so much love is in there. Our son\u2019s bed started just burning in the shape of a heart. The fire started in the shape of a heart. I was like, \u2018This is like, out of body insane.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n While reflecting on all of the belongings they lost in the fire, Spencer admitted he felt \u201clike a ghost.\u201d The Hills<\/em> alum continued, \u201cI don\u2019t have a single photo now from before an iPhone existed. I don\u2019t have any of the dumb little things that are on your shelves in your parents\u2019 they\u2019re all gone. Not a single nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
