The 52-year-old star has returned to Hollywood with her upcoming new Netflix movie ‘Back In Action’, and she has reflected on how she’s been spending her time.<\/p>\n
In a behind the scenes interview shared by the official ‘Still Watching Netflix’ YouTube channel, she said: “I was not keeping up with any kind of training. I did nothing public. I said no to everything.<\/p>\n
“Other than my wine – I started my wine company, Avaline, that was what I was putting most of my focus on, if I was doing anything other than just sort of being a mom and living my day to day.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was pretty much it. I\u2019m just trying to stay alive just like every other mother. I\u2019m just trying to keep it going.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Holiday’ actress has kids Raddix, five, and nine-month-old Cardinal with her husband Benji Madden.<\/p>\n
\nShe recently praised the 45-year-old Good Charlotte rocker for encouraging her to get back to work, after she stepped away following the release of 2014 movie ‘Annie’.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit in October, she said of her comeback: \u201cIt was just the right time for my family. After Covid, we were in the house for a long time, which was amazing and the problem was we would probably stay there, we would still be there right now. <\/p>\n
\n“People would be like, \u2018It\u2019s over\u2019 and I\u2019d be like, \u2018No it\u2019s not, it\u2019s not over for me.’<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo I had to push myself; my husband and I \u2014 my husband, who is the best \u2014 he was like, \u2018You\u2019ve been supporting us and building the family\u2019 and supporting him in his businesses, he\u2019s like, \u2018It\u2019s time for us to support you and let Mommy ascend and do her thing.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n“He\u2019s like, \u2018Let me see you do it girl.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Alright, here we go.'”<\/p>\n
