Danielle Fishel<\/strong><\/a> has officially completed her treatment for breast cancer.<\/p>\n The 43-year-old Boy Meets World <\/em>star confirmed she was \u201cofficially\u201d done with treatment on her Pop Meets World<\/em> podcast on Monday (January 13).<\/p>\n While that\u2019s great news, she is now dealing with the painful side effects following 20 rounds of radiation.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am officially done with radiation,\u201d she declared, going on to say she is \u201cofficially done with what is considered active cancer treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t know, she revealed her diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a form of breast cancer, in August of last year.<\/p>\n \u201cI did 15 rounds of whole breast radiation and then five rounds of targeted radiation, which just means they focus in on the very small area where my cancer was versus treating the entire breast,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cIt will help significantly lower my chances of recurrence, which is always good news, but, boy, I am feeling the effects \u2026 Physically, I have a very bad sunburn,\u201d she said, before sarcastically adding, \u201cI also have a rash on top of the sunburn, which is just great.\u201d<\/p>\n Danielle<\/strong> said radiation treatment was \u201crelatively easy. You don\u2019t really do anything. You just lay there.\u201d<\/p>\n She detailed post-treatment side effects, saying it \u201churts to wear a bra, hurts to not wear a bra. It just hurts to sleep on my side, hurts to sleep, period. Hurts to be awake.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very itchy, and, also, you can\u2019t itch it, because if you even come close to touching it, you wanna cry,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what? It\u2019s not gonna last forever. Physically, every day now, I\u2019m supposed to be getting better. Fatigue-wise, I am really very stinking tired,\u201d she went on to say.<\/p>\n Her doctors also told her she\u2019d begin to feel better in \u201ctwo to three months,\u201d and to \u201cwork out and drink water.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sorry, you want me to be tired and take care of myself?\u201d she joked. However, she confirmed that she \u201cdid start working out.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI worked out yesterday. I\u2019m gonna work out again on Friday because he said all the working out and drinking water helps my body get rid of all the damage that the radiation did,\u201d she confirmed, going on to say she\u2019ll begin Tamoxifen, a hormone therapy, once she starts to recover.<\/p>\n \u201cThey didn\u2019t wanna overload me with negative side effects,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n Last year, she underwent two successful lumpectomy surgeries to remove the cancer.
