The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted Friday in Altadena, an area in Los Angeles County decimated by the Eaton Fire, one of five blazes currently active<\/a> in the region. The couple also met with local officials and\u2014faces hidden by masks\u2014distributed food to the displaced, many of whom had no idea who was helping them.<\/p>\n The pair were spotted by<\/a> local news station Fox 11 on Friday at the Pasadena Convention Center, deep in conversation with Pasadena mayor Victor Gordo<\/strong>. The royals were casually dressed, in baseball caps and protective face masks. Chef\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s<\/strong>,\u00a0of the food relief organization World Central Kitchen, stood nearby.<\/p>\n As Vanity Fair<\/em> reported<\/a> earlier this week, the couple has been in communication with Andr\u00e9s in recent days, as the fires continued to spread<\/a>. In a statement posted on their website<\/a>, Harry and Meghan encouraged donations to WCK and several other nonprofits.<\/p>\n
