The \u2018Levitating\u2019 hitmaker, 29, admitted it had been a \u201cscary couple of days\u201d and revealed that she was among those forced to evacuate an area impacted by the disaster – which has claimed 10 lives and burned thousands of homes to the ground in Southern California.<\/p>\n
Sharing a video of the LA skyline, she wrote on her Instagram Story: \u201cAbsolutely devastating and scary couple of days in LA. Thinking of all my friends and the people of the city who had to evacuate their homes. I’ll be sharing some links I find for anyone who wants to help and donate to the shelters that are currently housing a lot of displaced people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Reassuring her fans, she added: \u201cI’m safe and made it out of the city. Sending my love to everyone going through this incredibly difficult time. Stay safe and take care of each other.\u201d<\/p>\n
The British-Albania star proceeded to share links to various places to donate, including evacuation and animal shelters, and information on how to help those affected.<\/p>\n
\nThe \u2018Dance The Night\u2019 hitmaker bought a property in Beverly Hills in 2020.<\/p>\n
\nBritish rocker James Bourne is also among those forced to flee his Los Angeles home.<\/p>\n
\nThe Busted star, 41, took to X to document what he was witnessing, describing what appeared to be \u201cexplosions\u201d in his street, before declaring: \u201cOk I\u2019m evacuating.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTake That star Mark Owen, 52, also had to leave his home after waking to helicopters, \u201cthick black smoke\u201d and howling winds.<\/p>\n
\nHis actress wife Emma Ferguson told their fans online: \u201cThank you for all your messages and checking in. I can\u2019t quite comprehend what happened here, but we are safe.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe hurricane-force winds and lack of water have meant the fire has spread catastrophically fast and taken much of our beloved area with it.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSchools, homes, shops, and stables are all gone.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe woke up to helicopters, thick black smoke, winds howling, and the uncertainty that our house would survive.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI wish I had packed better. Even if I had just grabbed each of their baby shoes, it would have been something.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo many have lost everything, pets included. And it\u2019s nowhere near over. Three active fires are blazing around us, and there is not enough water to manage the situation. Planes are grounded due to the winds<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m not sure what our next step is. Right now, I\u2019m just heavy and tired. We are beyond grateful to the heroes at @losangelesfiredepartment for all they do during these times. They work tirelessly to save homes and lives under catastrophic conditions.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe see you. Climate change is real, and it\u2019s apocalyptic when it strikes.\u201d<\/p>\n
