Jesse James<\/strong> <\/a>and his estranged wife, Bonnie Rotten<\/strong>, have petitioned the court to throw out their latest divorce filing<\/a>, Us Weekly <\/i>can confirm.<\/p>\n

According to court records viewed by Us<\/i>, James, 31, and Rotten, 55, filed a joint \u201cNotice of Nonsuit\u201d on Monday, January 6, to call off the proceedings. The divorce case is now listed as \u201cclosed.\u201d In Touch<\/i><\/a> was first to report the news.<\/p>\n

James then chronicled their \u201cBBQ Lunch\u201d together via Instagram Story on Thursday, January 9, in which he tagged Rotten\u2019s account while visiting Schmidt Family Barbeque in Texas.<\/p>\n

James, who was previously married to Sandra Bullock<\/strong>, and Rotten got married in 2022 before she filed for divorce<\/a> twice at the end of that year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJesse James and Bonnie Rotten have made multiple accusations about one another throughout their divorce battle. Us Weekly confirmed in November that Rotten, 31, filed for divorce from James, 55, after two years of marriage. In her petition, Rotten listed their date of separation as November 5. \u201cThe marriage has become insupportable because of discord [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe past week has been a pretty terrible week on all accounts \u2026 I mistakenly posted my private business between my husband and I on social media,\u201d Rotten (real name Alaina Antoinnette James) wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cYes I filed for divorce \u2026 the next day I filed a nonsuit to stop the divorce. I love Jesse so much and was very hurt by what I saw when I went through his phone. In his defense and the reason I am back home is that he didn\u2019t say anything inappropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Rotten and James reconciled, they welcomed son Bishop in 2023. Another year later, Rotten filed for divorce in November 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation,\u201d the court docs obtained by Us <\/i>read.<\/p>\n

Rotten requested \u201cexclusive use and control\u201d of her 2022 Dodge Ram TRX and wanted to prohibit James from being able to track or monitor its location. She wished to retain ownership of her clothing, books, firearms and related gear that are stored in a private gun room<\/a>, a pet cat named Olive and other personal effects.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJesse James and Bonnie Rotten\u2018s tumultuous relationship has played out in the public eye since they started dating in 2021. Before his relationship with Rotten (whose real name is Alaina Hicks), James was married multiple times. He was married to Karla James for over a decade before their 2002 split. James later found love with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to her divorce filing, Rotten also requested a protective order \u201cin connection with a child support case,\u201d claiming that James \u201cengaged in conduct that constitutes family violence.\u201d According to Rotten, James \u201ccommitted acts that were intended to result in physical harm, bodily injury, assault or sexual assault\u201d or threatened to do so.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized Jesse Gregory James\u2019 anger was getting worse and worse,\u201d she claimed in the docs. \u201cTo protect our baby and myself, I left home with [Bishop] and decided to file for divorce. Because of all the things he has done, I am very afraid Jesse Gregory James will cause me physical harm, cause me bodily injury or assault me.\u201d<\/p>\n

James, meanwhile, entered a \u201cgeneral denial\u201d to her accusations in his official response and asked that Rotten \u201ctake nothing.\u201d He also filed for a protective order against Rotten, claiming that she committed family violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cRespondent committed acts that were intended by Respondent to result in physical harm, bodily injury, assault, or sexual assault or were threats that reasonably placed Applicant and the child Bishop Morrison James in fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury or assault,\u201d James\u2019 docs read. \u201cRespondent\u2019s acts therefore constitute family violence. Respondent\u2019s conduct was reasonably likely to harass, annoy, alarm, abuse, torment or embarrass Applicant and Bishop Morrison James.\u201d<\/p>\n
