Jennie Garth<\/strong><\/a> is leaning on her ex, Peter Facinelli<\/strong><\/a>, during difficult times.<\/p>\n

Garth, 52, took to Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, January 9, to share that she and her family had taken shelter with Facinelli, 51, after evacuating their Los Angeles home due to the ongoing fires in the area<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is just devastating for everyone. I\u2019m so sad. Deep sadness today. My family and I are safe. Our home made it through the night and we are feeling so blessed and so fortunate and so lucky,\u201d Garth said in a video to her 1.3 million followers<\/span>. \u201cJust praying for everybody else. We\u2019re so, so lucky more people weren\u2019t hurt or trapped in the fires.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum shared that she and her husband, Dave Abrams<\/strong>, were planning to return to their home and thanked her ex for letting them stay the night. \u201cThink we\u2019re going to go back to our house. It\u2019s a mess but it\u2019s fine. It\u2019s still there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLos Angeles saw a frightening natural weather event \u2014 and its star-studded community has been heavily impacted. An extreme wind storm, caused by Santa Ana gusts, sparked fast-burning brush fires at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, with drivers along Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive abandoning their cars to seek safety, according to the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Garth continued, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for Peter for letting us stay at his house\u2014me and all the girls, and the dogs, and Dave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garth and Facinelli first met in 1995 and were married from 2001 to 2013. They share three adult daughters, Luca<\/strong>, 27, Lola<\/strong>, 22, and Fiona<\/strong>, 18. Garth married actor Abrams in 2015. Facinelli, meanwhile, is engaged to actress Lily Anne Harrison<\/strong>, with whom he shares son Jack, 2.<\/p>\n

Garth reiterated her gratitude to her ex in the caption of her Instagram post, writing, \u201cI wanted to let you know that we are safe. Peter and his family took us in and have been so kind. I am deeply saddened for our city and just feel numb.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur home was spared but so much to clean up and ready to get active to help our neighbors and friends and fellow Angelinos,\u201d the actress continued, adding that her husband has been \u201ctransporting all our bags and boxes, loading and unloading.\u201d<\/p>\n
