Christina Haack<\/b><\/a> (formerly known as Christina Hall) clapped back at her estranged husband <\/span>Josh Hall<\/b><\/a>\u2019s claim that HGTV \u201cmanufactured drama\u201d for their show The Flip Off<\/em>.<\/p>\n After Josh, 44, took to his Instagram Stories on Monday, January 6, to slam the network for teasing a fight between the exes ahead of the show\u2019s January 29 premiere, Christina, 41, reshared his message by writing, \u201cManufactured?!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPretty sure no one at Hgtv told you to be rude to me\u2026. That was all natural,\u201d her post, which was also posted on January 6 via her own Instagram Stories, continued.<\/p>\n Christina furthered her argument by sharing a selfie of her crying in a car, which she took after filming the show in the summer of 2024. \u201cThis was taken June 21, 2024,\u201d she wrote alongside the snapshot. \u201cAfter one of my shoots with Josh. This is \u2018real\u2019 and a reminder to myself that I deserve better.\u201d<\/p>\n The Christina on the Coast<\/em> star<\/a> clapped back at Josh shortly after he uploaded a screenshot of an article that teased a \u201ctense fight\u201d between them that was promised to be featured on The Flip Off. \u201c[That feeling when] you can\u2019t get enough ratings with celebrity designers, so you rely on manufactured drama with me, a nobody. @hgtv, you\u2019ve changed,\u201d he wrote in response to the story.<\/p>\n The upcoming HGTV show was originally supposed to follow Christina and Josh competing against her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa<\/b> and his current wife, <\/span>Heather Rae El Moussa<\/b><\/a>, in a house flipping competition. However, Josh was removed from the show after <\/span>both he and Christina filed for divorce<\/span><\/a> in July 2024.<\/p>\n Several clips from the upcoming show have teased the problems in Christina and Josh\u2019s marriage, including a teaser in which they were seen having a tense argument<\/a> during a car ride. The clip showed Josh having a mostly one-sided conversation before he eventually told his then-wife to \u201cshut up.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I\u2019ll do it. Halls rule!\u201d he told her as remained silent while sitting in the passenger seat. \u201cYou\u2019re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you\u2019re with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the mother of three\u2019s decision to remain quiet, Josh continued to tell her, \u201cRemember you\u2019re a Hall now. Don\u2019t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.\u201d<\/p>\n He went on to call her \u201crude\u201d for not responding to him, and Christina defended her silence by replying, \u201cI don\u2019t over talk.\u201d<\/p>\n Before Josh slammed HGTV for allegedly editing the issues in their relationship on the show, he reflected on the difficult lessons he learned in 2024<\/a> amid their divorce.<\/p>\n \u201c2024 was a tough year but it\u2019s taught me a lot. It helped me grow and be stronger than I\u2019ve ever been,\u201d he wrote via Instagram<\/a> on January 1 alongside a photo that captured him lounging in a pool. \u201cSometimes the tough situations can change you. You end up becoming a different person. A better version of yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n Josh added the struggles \u201copened [his] eyes to many things.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEven though it was tough, I know that it taught me many lessons and for that I\u2019m grateful,\u201d he continued. \u201cI always tell myself that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
