Months before her reported split from husband Cash Warren<\/strong><\/a>, Jessica Alba<\/strong><\/a> said she and Warren had \u201cbecome roommates.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Alba, 43, opened up about her marriage in a candid conversation<\/span><\/a> with podcaster Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt<\/strong> in April 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all rosy for 2 \u00bd years, but then after that, you become roommates,\u201d Alba revealed on Schwarzenegger\u2019s \u201cBDA Baby\u201d podcast. \u201cAnd it\u2019s just, like, you\u2019re roommates. You\u2019re just going through the motion. It\u2019s the responsibility. It\u2019s a lot of, like, checking the boxes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

TMZ reported on Wednesday, January 8, that Alba and Warren, 45, recently separated and are preparing to file for divorce<\/span><\/a>. Us Weekly<\/i> has reached out to their reps for comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The couple met while working on 2004\u2019s Fantastic Four, which Alba starred in as Susan Storm and Warren was a production assistant. During their 2008 vows, Alba was nine months pregnant<\/span><\/a> with their daughter Honor, now 16. The couple went on to welcome daughter Haven, 13, and son, Hayes, 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Schwarzenegger Pratt, 35, asked how Alba was able to find balance amid her heavy responsibilities \u2014 and ensure \u201cyour husband feels tended to\u201d \u2014 Alba made a face.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve figured it out in your relationship, let me know,\u201d she quipped, adding, \u201cYou know, I think that [Warren] probably gets the short end of the stick. \u2026 It\u2019s hard. It\u2019s impossible.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJessica Alba has shared a rare glimpse into her family life to celebrate the holidays. The actress, 43, took to social media on Thursday, December 26 to share a series of photos via Instagram of her husband, Cash Warren, 45, and their three kids, daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 6. \u201cHappy [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alba said that she and Warren had previously tried to schedule regular date nights where \u201cwe won\u2019t have our phone and we\u2019ll just talk. But then that stopped because of whatever \u2013 and so we\u2019re just not consistent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She advised Schwarzenegger Pratt\u2019s listeners that it was important \u201cto communicate when you\u2019re unhappy and nipping it right away instead of letting it sort of, like, fester \u2014 and then you have animosity and then it explodes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Alba also noted that she and Warren had \u201cgone through that,\u201d since they\u2019d been together so long, and joked that \u201che basically stole my 20s and my 30s.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
