They are joined by newbies bosun<strong> Wihan Du Toit<\/strong>, chief stew <strong>Lara Rigby<\/strong>, deckhands <strong>Johnny Arvanitis<\/strong> and <strong>Adair Werley<\/strong>, stews <strong>Brianna Duffield<\/strong> and <strong>Marina Marcondes de Barros<\/strong> and sous-chef <strong>Anthony Bird<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my 25 years of being a captain, I have learned that you can\u2019t be in control of everything. The spinoff show, which premiered on Peacock in March 2022, left a memorable impression on viewers when it came to feuds, firings and chaos. During the first season, fans and cast alike [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI will not tolerate heads of department yelling at each other,\u201d Jason tells the crew. \u201cThere is an undercurrent of negativity onboard and to me it is an infection. I know that the policies and procedures were in place during the previous seasons, even when that happened. When production stepped in and stopped it, that showed that these policies and procedures were very understood,\u201d Jason shared in September 2024. \u201cNow for the next season, the policies and procedures weren\u2019t just controlled by the production team itself. They actually brought additional HR people to actually make sure that the black and white writing was understood by all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jason <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/pictures\/every-time-below-deck-producers-stepped-in-consent-scandal-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">praised the production team for breaking down<\/a> the guidelines before they started filming. Jason ultimately terminated Luke and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/below-deck-down-under-cast-members-fired-after-consent-incident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">let stewardess <strong>Laura Bileskaline<\/strong> go<\/a> after she blamed Margot for his exit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one thing that sticks in my mind is that I supported everyone afterward. Everyone involved with it had some learning to do. I\u2019ve stayed in touch with every person that\u2019s been involved and they\u2019ve become a better person and that\u2019s great,\u201d Jason told <em>Us<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/entertainment\/news\/below-decks-captain-jason-hopes-luke-is-doing-better-after-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">about the aftermath<\/a>. \u201cI think the industry 15 or 20 years ago was totally different. A lot of these things were acceptable in many ways and in society as well.
