\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Chris Evans<\/strong><\/a> shared a special fact about his beloved dog Dodger<\/strong> and the inspiration for his name.<\/p>\n The 41-year-old Captain America<\/em> star adopted him back in 2015 while filming a movie in an animal shelter and referred to the adoption as \u201cthe best decision of my life\u201d<\/a> last year. <\/p>\n During a recent interview, he opened up about how he named the dog, and the way that a less well-known Disney movie inspired him.<\/p>\n Read more about Chris Evans decision to name Dodger\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>\n While on Good Morning America<\/em>, Chris <\/strong>recalled adopting \u201cthe real celebrity in the Evans household.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s such a sweetie,\u201d he said about Dodger<\/strong>, adding that he was \u201ccuteness overload.\u201d<\/p>\n The conversation turned to how he named Dodger<\/strong>, and the inspiration came from Disney\u2019s Oliver & Company<\/em>, which was inspired by Charles Dickens<\/strong>\u2018 Oliver Twist<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was a street dog. He was a little orphan. You know, the Artful Dodger is kind of that\u2026 I wish I could just say it was a Charles Dickens<\/em> reference. It\u2019s actually a more animated reference. They did a movie \u2013 Oliver & Company<\/em> \u2013 the movie I grew up on that\u2019s based on Oliver Twist<\/em>. The dog that played the Artful Dodger kind of looked like Dodger,\u201d he explained. <\/p>\n Chris <\/strong>spoke out about adopting pets<\/a> a couple years ago.
