Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> is a dab hand in the kitchen, according to pal Mindy Kaling<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Mindy Project<\/em> star, 45, spilled the beans on Meghan\u2019s cooking skills as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to launch<\/a> her new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan<\/em>, later this month.<\/p>\n

The trailer for the new show dropped last week and shows Meghan, 43, rustling up a tasty dish for Kaling in her and Prince Harry<\/strong>\u2019s Montecito, California, kitchen.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just in my maternity leave and Meghan texted me and said, \u2018Hey, do you wanna come be in my show \u2026 come to Montecito and have me cook for you?\u2019\u201d Kaling explained her guest appearance during a red carpet interview with Deadline<\/a> at the Sunday, January 5, Golden Globes<\/a>. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Yeah, that sounds perfect. I would love to do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian said that she considers herself an \u201cOK cook,\u201d but Meghan \u201cunsurprisingly kind of blew me out of the water.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing about her recipes and being there is that it\u2019s just really accessible,\u201d Kaling continued. \u201cShe has a garden from scratch, which I could never do, and chickens \u2026 they\u2019d probably all die if I tried to take care of chickens. I was like, \u2018Oh, this is very accessible.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While Meghan\u2019s husband, Harry, 40, was at home when Kaling visited, she didn\u2019t get to sample his cooking.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard he\u2019s actually a pretty good cook,\u201d she said. \u201cHe knows his way around a kitchen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan\u2019s new lifestyle series, set to premiere on Wednesday, January 15, \u201creimagines the genre of lifestyle programming\u201d with Meghan at the forefront \u201cblending practical how-to\u2019s and candid conversation with friends,\u201d according to Netflix.<\/p>\n
