Home sweet talk show! Mark Consuelos<\/strong><\/a> and Kelly Ripa<\/strong><\/a> felt at ease during their first Live With Kelly and Mark<\/em><\/a> show on Monday, April 17.<\/p>\n \u201cThis show today truly felt like home,\u201d Consuelos, 52, exclusively reveals in the upcoming issue of Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cI always feel at home with Kelly but [working] together this morning just felt so right.\u201d<\/p>\n The Riverdale<\/em><\/a> alum adds: \u201cKelly and I have always [felt] the most [at] ease when we\u2019re together and I feel so lucky we get to do that daily.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Alpha House<\/em> star<\/a> \u2014 who joined his wife, 52, as her official cohost on the ABC talk show on Monday<\/a> \u2014 couldn\u2019t contain his excitement over the moment. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to see where we can go from here,\u201d he tells Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n Ripa, for her part, was equally as happy with the couple\u2019s beginning as coanchors<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMark did amazing! Better than I even thought,\u201d the Hope & Faith<\/em> alum<\/a>, who shares daughter Lola, 21, and sons Michael, 25, and Joaquin, 20<\/a>, with her spouse, exclusively shares with Us<\/em>. \u201cI look forward to a long TV partnership with him.\u201d<\/p>\n The New Jersey native<\/a> proceeded to sing her husband\u2019s praises, saying, \u201cHe\u2019s a natural and I have a good feeling this is going to be great for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n Ripa and Consuelos kicked off their work partnership on Monday after Ryan Seacrest<\/strong><\/a> stepped back as the cohost following six seasons.<\/p>\n \u201cThe future starts now,\u201d the pair \u2014 who found love after playing Hayley and Mateo on All My Children<\/em> in the \u201890s<\/a> \u2014 said at the top of the show. Ripa then introduced her husband as he forever talk show partner, joking he would be \u201cjoining me today and permanently until one of us dies.\u201d<\/p>\n News broke in February that Seacrest, 48, would be leaving Live<\/em> after nearly six years. At the time, Consuelos was announced as his replacement, a decision the American Idol<\/em> host fully supported<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to coming back to guest host in the future and Kelly, I promise to forever share my food photos, chicken eggs, and olive oil with you,\u201d Seacrest wrote via Instagram in February. \u201cAnd congratulations to my brother Mark, feel free to remodel my dressing room!\u201d<\/p>\n The former Pitch<\/em> actor, for his part, shared his well-wishes with the On Air With Ryan Seacrest<\/em> host<\/a> via social media.<\/p>\n \u201cI know I have some big shoes to fill \u2026 well actually they\u2019re only a size 9, but you know what I mean,\u201d Consuelos joked, referring to Seacrest\u2019s small stature.<\/p>\n The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians<\/em> producer cohosted his final episode of Live<\/em><\/a> with Ripa on Friday, April 15. During the broadcast, he thanked his longtime friend<\/a> for guiding him throughout his time on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI so appreciate your leadership, your love, your wisdom and I really do feel like a family member and we will have that forever,\u201d Seacrest told the Stand-In<\/em> actress<\/a>. At the end of the episode, Consuelos came out on stage<\/a> and brought Seacrest a giant cake to celebrate. The radio personality then gave his Live mug to the actor as a symbolic passing of the torch.<\/p>\n Two days later, Entertainment Weekly<\/em> published an interview with Ripa and spoke about her future on the talk show<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery time you get a new cohost, it\u2019s like a little jolt of energy,\u201d the Live<\/em> executive producer explained in the Sunday, April 16, article. \u201cBut to be clear, I am always thinking about retiring.
