\t\t<\/p>\n Prince William<\/strong><\/a> is sending his condolences to his former nanny after her stepson was killed in the New Year\u2019s Day attack in New Orleans.<\/p>\n In the early hours of Wednesday morning (January 1), a Texas man drove a rented truck through the crowds of people out celebrating New Year\u2019s Eve on the iconic Bourbon Street in New Orleans.<\/p>\n The 42-year-old Prince of Wales and his brother Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke<\/strong>\u2018s stepson Ed Pettifer<\/strong>, 31, was one of the 15 victims killed in the horrific attack.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>On Saturday (January 4), Prince William<\/strong> released a statement to send his condolences.<\/p>\n \u201cCatherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer,\u201d Prince William<\/strong> wrote on his official Instagram Story<\/a>. \u201cOur thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack.\u201d<\/p>\n Ed<\/strong> \u2013 who lived in Chelsea, West London \u2013 had been visiting Louisiana with a friend at the time of tragedy, The Times<\/em><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n Our continued thoughts are with the loved ones of all of the victims.
