Nikki Glaser<\/strong><\/a> is soft-launching some jokes ahead of her gig hosting the 2025 Golden Globes<\/strong><\/a> this weekend. <\/p>\n The 40-year-old comedian will take the stage on Sunday (January 5) to emcee the awards ceremony. <\/p>\n In an interview ahead of the gig, Nikki<\/strong> playfully roasted some of the movies that are up for awards. She also revealed how Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> is inspiring her as she crafts jokes about one specific film. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to Variety<\/a>, Nikki<\/strong> said that she was looking forward to making jokes about Wicked<\/em> and compared it to Taylor<\/strong>\u2018s awe-inspiring Eras Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has that Eras Tour<\/em> energy,\u201d she said. \u201cI want to respect the fandom and not trash it, because as a Swiftie, there is no joke you can make about Taylor Swift<\/strong> that is OK to me. I relate to people who love Wicked<\/em> that much. But it\u2019s so nice to have Wicked<\/em>, because everyone\u2019s seen it.\u201d<\/p>\n Nikki<\/strong> added that she had already watched Conclave<\/em> more than once, praising Ralph Fiennes<\/strong><\/a> for being \u201cthe greatest actor.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI fell asleep a lot during the first watch \u2014 it\u2019s a dark, slow movie \u2014 but it\u2019s one of my favorite movies of all time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n However, the comedian noted that people were extremely unfamiliar with some of the other nominated films.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw Emilia P\u00e9rez<\/em> \u2014 I don\u2019t even know what I was watching. Then someone goes, it\u2019s French. And I go, \u2018Oh, OK. This reminds me of the Paris opening ceremony,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cThat one\u2019s fun because there\u2019s a lot of fodder there. First of all, not many people have seen it. Then, because of the subject matter \u2014 there are certain things that culturally, we\u2019ve all decided we don\u2019t joke about. It\u2019s sensitive. So that\u2019s a difficult one to tackle, but not impossible: I welcome the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n What other movies are people unaware of?<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been talking about A Complete Unknown<\/em>.
