Sloane Stephens<\/strong> has read all of the comments calling on her to retire \u2014 but don\u2019t expect her to listen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/i>, the tennis star, 31, explained how she\u2019s learned to let social media criticism roll off her back more than 15 years into her professional career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople don\u2019t have any filter,\u201d said Stephens, who spoke to Us via her partnership with Daily Harvest. \u201cThey also don\u2019t realize that you\u2019re another human being. They would never say it to your face. It actually prohibits people from putting their lives out there because they don\u2019t want to be judged.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Stephens added, \u201cIt\u2019s all about what the athlete can handle, right? \u2018You should retire?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018If these people are still paying me, I\u2019m not going.\u2019 I think people don\u2019t realize, if someone was paying you a lot of money, you wouldn\u2019t quit your job. You wouldn\u2019t leave your job.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCoco Gauff\u2019s admission about her lack of late \u201890s boy band knowledge has Us feeling old.\u00a0 Gauff, 20, took part in a video Q&A with her fellow American tennis stars Danielle Collins and Taylor Fritz, in which the athletes were asked to name their \u201cfirst celebrity crush.\u201d \u201cLance Bass seemed like the safest human in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ultimately, Stephens explained she\u2019s in her \u201cphase of I don\u2019t give a s\u2014.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs an athlete, you have such tough skin in general,\u201d the 2017 US Open champion said. \u201cFor the bettors and the people who are literally like, \u2018You should have won, you f\u2014ing bitch.\u2019 So when people comment on my post like, \u2018Why are you posting this?\u2019 It\u2019s my page. Get the f\u2014 off.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

While Stephens boasts well-worn armor, she acknowledged how \u201cyounger athletes haven\u2019t experienced it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, whatever,\u2019\u201d she said of her social media mindset. \u201cIf I post and you don\u2019t like it, just follow somebody else. Unfollow me. Block me. Do whatever you need to do. If you feel secure in your world and in your life and in your tennis or whatever it is, you don\u2019t react as much to things other people are saying.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As for her physical health, Stephens <\/span>\u2014<\/span> who still spends 40 weeks a year on the road <\/span>\u2014 gushed about how her partnership with Daily Harvest<\/a> came about, ironically, quite organically.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring COVID is when I first started using Daily Harvest because we were all trying to figure out how to get healthy options,\u201d she explained. \u201cI couldn\u2019t go out and I wasn\u2019t cooking. Throughout my career, I\u2019ve always had little bits and stints where I\u2019ve been someplace for a month. I\u2019ve always loved using meal prep options because it\u2019s just easier for me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
