Landon Clements<\/strong> stepped away from Southern Charm<\/em><\/a> after three seasons in 2017. Years later, many fans are still thinking about her time on the show. The Georgia-born real estate agent has dished a few times about her exit from Bravo\u2019s reality series, and she has kept her followers updated on her life since her departure.<\/p>\n Landon appeared on seasons two, three and four of Southern Charm<\/em>. However, she announced her exit from the series in September 2017, confirming that she would not return for season 5.<\/p>\n \u201cI have decided to return to California where I will be pursuing my career in residential real estate. I recently renewed my license and am thrilled to join the team at CLIMB Real Estate. While I won\u2019t be returning to Southern Charm, I\u2019m excited for this next chapter in my life,\u201d she said in a statement at the time, according to People<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n The Bravolebrity opened up about her decision to leave Southern Charm in an October 2017 interview with People. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t really about filming or not filming, it was just what I wanted out of my life,\u201d she explained. \u201cI love real estate and the hospitality \u2026 That\u2019s what I sort of wanted to get back into. I know that if I want to get to the next level of things, I really need to get to work and be with people who believe in me, and training with them all summer has helped me so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Landon continued, \u201cI\u2019m excited to pursue other things and we have so much fun making the show, but you know, I was just ready to do some other stuff now.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV personality also revealed that she was struggling to adjust to life in Charleston, South Carolina, versus in Malibu, California, where she moved after season 4 concluded filming.<\/p>\n \u201cI love Charleston, but it\u2019s a tiny little town, so it\u2019s hard to keep oneself really busy,\u201d Landon added. \u201cI just wanted to get back to California and the west coast. When we finished filming last season\u2019s show, I came back in March, and I had to do a bunch of classes because I let my real estate license lapse in California, so I had to basically go back to school, which I kind of loved.\u201d<\/p>\n Landon also explained that she could focus more on her career rather than her love life in California.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve known most of these guys since I was really young, or I\u2019m related to them. It\u2019s a very, very small town and there are great guys there, but I\u2019ve literally known them since we were kids. It\u2019s tricky at best, that\u2019s another big reason I\u2019ve been in California,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m not really looking to get remarried right now. I\u2019m focused on my career and want to get the real estate stuff going, and then I\u2019ll try to figure all that out.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Landon\u2019s exit from Southern Charm was not completely unrelated to drama among the cast. In a July 2022 interview with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, the reality star slammed estranged friend Kathryn Dennis<\/strong><\/a>, claiming that many former cast members left the show \u201c1,000 percent\u201d because of Kathryn.<\/p>\n \u201cNo doubt about it. I certainly did,\u201d Landon said. \u201cShe just manipulates everything into whatever it is that she needs in that moment. Just the way she treats people, it\u2019s not how I treat people. It was too much negativity.\u201d<\/p>\n Though Landon left Southern Charm<\/em>, she has continued to stay in touch with many of her former castmates, including Shep Rose<\/strong>. \u201cThey\u2019re not rid of me just yet,\u201d she told People<\/em> of her friends in 2017. \u201cHonestly, all of my friends travel so much that they come and visit all the time \u2026 so I feel like they\u2019re all still around. We\u2019re a big family.\u201d<\/p>\n Landon has kept fans updated on her adventures via Instagram.
