Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s former agency, WME, insists that Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> and Blake Lively<\/strong><\/a> had nothing to do with them dropping the actor and director.<\/p>\n

The talent agency dropped Baldoni, 40, as a client last month<\/a> just one day after Lively, 37, filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment<\/a> and a hostile workplace on the set of their movie, It Ends With Us<\/em>. On Tuesday, December 31, Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit<\/a> against The New York Times<\/em> \u2014 which covered Lively\u2019s complaint on December 21 \u2014 alleging, in part, that Reynolds pressured Baldoni\u2019s agent to drop him at the Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em> premiere last year in an attempt at \u201cdestroying Baldoni\u2019s career and personal life.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, January 1, WME told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>, \u201cIn Baldoni\u2019s filing, there is a claim that Reynolds pressured Baldoni\u2019s agent at the Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em> premiere<\/a>. This is not true. Baldoni\u2019s former representative was not at the Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em> premiere nor was there any pressure from Reynolds or Lively at any time to drop Baldoni as a client.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldoni is suing the New York Times<\/em> for libel and false light invasion of privacy, among other things.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit, obtained by Us Weekly<\/em>, alleges that Lively \u201csystematically sidelined [him] from the marketing of his own Film.\u201d<\/p>\n

Baldoni also alleged that Lively tried to ban him from the movie\u2019s premiere<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther undermining Baldoni\u2019s role, Lively initially refused to permit his attendance at the Film\u2019s premiere,\u201d the lawsuit states. \u201cOnly after significant pressure did she reluctantly agree to allow Baldoni and the Wayfarer team to attend, but under humiliating conditions. The Wayfarer team and their families, including Baldoni and [producer Jamey] Heath, were segregated from the main cast, barred from the exclusive after-party, and forced to organize their own event at additional cost.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suit further describes Lively\u2019s alleged effort to ostracize Baldoni and his family at the film\u2019s premiere.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaldoni\u2019s participation on the red carpet was cut short, and his family and friends were confined to a makeshift holding area in the basement before being escorted into a separate theater after Lively\u2019s departure,\u201d the suit continues. \u201cNot only had Lively stolen the Film, but she also robbed Baldoni and his team of any genuine opportunity to celebrate their hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n
