Chevy Chase<\/strong><\/a> had quite the reaction to the Saturday Night<\/strong><\/a> <\/em>movie.<\/p>\n The film depicts what happened behind the scenes of the first episode of Saturday Night Live<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, which the 81-year-old actor was a part of as an original cast member.<\/p>\n In a new interview, the movie\u2019s director Jason Reitman<\/strong><\/a> revealed what Chevy <\/strong>told him after watching a screening.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSo, Chevy<\/strong> comes in to watch the movie, and he is there with [wife] Jayni<\/strong> and they watch the film, and he\u2019s in the group, and he comes up to me after and he pats me on the shoulder and goes, \u2018Well, you should be embarrassed,\u2019\u201d Jason <\/strong>shared on the Fly on the Wall<\/a><\/em> podcast with former SNL <\/em>cast members Dana Carvey<\/strong><\/a> and David Spade<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou couldn\u2019t even write it better,\u201d David<\/strong> responded, while Dana <\/strong>said, Chevy<\/strong> \u201cknows that\u2019s funny, like that\u2019s the roughest thing you could say to a director in the moment, or right up there.\u201d<\/p>\n Jason<\/strong> continued, \u201cI\u2019m trying to balance it, because, in my head, I know, \u2018Alright, I\u2019m getting my own Chevy Chase<\/strong> moment that\u2019s 1,000 percent only for me right now.\u2019 And from a comedy point-of-view that\u2019s really pure, and that\u2019s kind of cool. But also, I just spent like two years of my life recreating this moment and trying to capture Chevy<\/strong> perfectly, and also even in the ego, find the humanity and give him a moment to be loved \u2014 no, none of that sh-t played.
