When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer\u2019s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn\u2019t happen to Finney.<\/p>\n<p>By October 2023, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2023\/10\/27\/universal-sets-the-black-phone-2-release-date-for-summer-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced the horror film would get a sequel<\/a> and it was set to be released in June 2025. It has, however, been pushed back to October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Director\/co-writer <strong>Scott Derrickson<\/strong> is back on to pen the sequel alongside <strong>C. Robert Cargill<\/strong>.
