The night has arrived for the airing of the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors<\/em><\/strong> special and there are so many incredible performers set to take the stage!<\/p>\n Queen Latifah<\/strong><\/a>, who was honored at last year\u2019s show, is hosting the event for the first time.<\/p>\n The recipients to be honored at the annual national celebration of the arts are acclaimed director and filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong><\/a>; the legendary American rock band the Grateful Dead<\/strong><\/a> (Mickey Hart, Billy Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, Bobby Weir); blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt<\/strong><\/a>; jazz trumpeter, pianist and composer Arturo Sandoval<\/strong><\/a>; and The Apollo, which will receive a special Honors as an iconic American institution. <\/p>\n The event was taped on December 8 at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington D.C. and President Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a> and Vice President Kamala Harris<\/strong><\/a> were both in attendance with their spouses.<\/p>\n CBS is airing the special on Sunday night (December 22) from 8:30pm ET to 11:00pm ET.
