Every year more celebrities are getting book deals<\/a> (even if no one asked for them) and the anecdotes included on page keep getting juicer \u2014 especially when other notable names are concerned.<\/p>\n

2024 brought Us<\/em> memoirs from stars all across the board, including A-listers like Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong><\/a> and Cher<\/strong>. However, reality TV stars turned authors took over with Selling Sunset<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Mary Bonnet<\/strong> and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a>\u2019s Heather Gay<\/strong> spilling the tea about their respective pasts and shows.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Bethanny Joy Lenz<\/strong>\u2019s Dinner for Vampires<\/em> took Us<\/em> through her time in the Big House Family cult<\/a>, while the late Lisa Marie Presley<\/strong> (with the help of her daughter Riley Keough<\/strong>) put her entire life on the table.<\/p>\n

Crystal\u2019s Only Say Good Things<\/em> kicked off the year strong with its January release<\/a>. Aside from her tales about Hugh Hefner<\/strong> and the Playboy Mansion, she penned a shocking story about \u2026 Jordan McGraw<\/strong>. (Yes, Dr. Phil McGraw<\/strong>\u2019s singing son who opened for the Jonas Brothers<\/a> on multiple tours.)<\/p>\n

After initially calling off her engagement to Hugh, she found her \u201csafe haven\u201d in McGraw. \u201cI ran straight to Jordan and hid from it all,\u201d she wrote, noting that their relationship \u201cstarted to sour pretty quickly\u201d after it started.<\/p>\n

Rebel Wilson\u2019s Confession About Sacha Baron Cohen<\/h3>\n

Wilson released her book, titled Rebel Rising<\/em>, in April and claimed one of her past costars was a \u201cmassive a\u2014\u2013e\u201d<\/a> when they worked together. The actress later revealed that she was referring to Cohen on the 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby<\/em> movie set.<\/p>\n

A rep for Cohen denied the claim<\/a> in a statement to Us<\/em> at the time.<\/p>\n

Marlon Brando Broke Into Whoopi Goldberg\u2019s House<\/h3>\n

How Woody Harrelson Saved Darius Rucker\u2019s Life<\/h3>\n

Rucker\u2019s Life\u2019s Too Short<\/em> memoir \u2014 which was released in May \u2014 opened with the country singer recalling how Harrelson saved his life<\/a>. While visiting the actor in Hawaii, and after a \u201ctreacherous 25-minute descent,\u201d Harrelson and Rucker went swimming. The Hootie and the Blowfish singer then got pulled underwater by a rip current, he wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe juiciest celebrity memoirs and biographies always come out in the fall and winter \u2014 and 2024 is no exception. This season, many of the biggest releases are centered around musicians. Cher, for example, is dropping her long-awaited autobiography, which will be divided into two parts. (The second part is expected to hit shelves in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI fight and flail for I have no idea how long \u2014 ten minutes, fifteen \u2014 and then I hear a voice. Woody,\u201d Rucker wrote. \u201cI can\u2019t see him, but I hear him. He\u2019s not far. \u2026 All I know for sure is that somehow Woody pulls me out of the current.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mary Bonnett Wearing Idina Menzel\u2019s Shoes<\/h3>\n

The Selling Sunset<\/em> star detailed her fast friendship with Netflix costar Amanza Smith<\/strong> in the September book<\/a> Selling Sunshine<\/em>. Smith was dating Taye Diggs<\/strong> at the time, and Bonnet had the opportunity to go through his ex-wife, Idina Menzel<\/strong>\u2019s closet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIdina had left a bunch of stuff behind that she was planning to donate to charity, and I didn\u2019t have any nice shoes with me,\u201d Bonnet wrote.<\/p>\n

Wilmer Valderrama\u2019s A-List Plane Incident<\/h3>\n

Valderrama\u2019s An American Story<\/em> memoir, released in September, detailed a near-plane crash<\/a> with Ashton Kutcher<\/strong>, Danny Masterson<\/strong> and Colin Hanks<\/strong>. The actors thought \u201cour plane is going down\u201d while flying in a storm following the Super Bowl in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe plane is pitching up, down, side to side,\u201d Valderrama wrote. \u201cI\u2019m feeling lightheaded. It\u2019s getting hard to breathe. Oxygen masks drop from the ceiling, and I wonder if they dropped because the turbulence shook them loose or if it\u2019s something else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Connie Chung Recalls Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer\u2019s Feud<\/h3>\n

When Chung worked as an ABC News reporter, she had a firsthand experience of what she called the \u201csame-sex battle\u201d<\/a> between Walters and Sawyer.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of battling men, I found myself squeezed between two people I thought should have been allies,\u201d Chung wrote in her Connie: A Memoir<\/em> book, released in September. \u201cI\u2019d foolishly believed the women would be my comrades.\u201d<\/p>\n

JoJo\u2019s Galentine\u2019s With Taylor Swift \u2014 and How Selena Gomez Was Involved<\/h3>\n

The singer recalled spending Galentine\u2019s Day at the \u201csweet and complimentary\u201d Swift\u2019s house in her Over the Influence<\/em> memoir<\/a>, released in September. She was invited into the singer\u2019s inner circle because of a close-knit friendship with Gomez.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the book, JoJo recalled feeling \u201cthe occasional twinge of pain or jealousy\u201d during her friendship with Gomez.<\/p>\n

Eric Roberts\u2019 Apology to Sister Julia Roberts<\/h3>\n

\u201cNow one of the things I\u2019d like to apologize for in this book is for publicly saying on more than one occasion, \u2018If it wasn\u2019t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts,\u2019\u201d he wrote. \u201cThat\u2019s not only unfortunate, but it\u2019s also untrue. And I hope Julie will accept this more public apology.\u201d<\/p>\n

When they first got together in 1994, Jackson was 35 and told Presley he was \u201cstill a virgin\u201d before noting that \u201cthe physical stuff started happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bethanny Joy Lenz Has a Moment With Katharine McPhee<\/h3>\n

The expected cast of characters (her One Tree Hill<\/em> costars) appeared in Lenz\u2019s October memoir<\/a> Dinner With Vampires<\/em>, with an unexpected cameo at the end. The actress recalled crossing paths with McPhee \u2014 and having a hilarious interaction \u2014 years after escaping The Big House Family cult. At the time, Lenz was telling her friend that she left the church as McPhee listened.<\/p>\n

\u201cKat was bewildered. She put her hand on my arm. \u2018Wait, you were in a cult?\u2019\u201d Lenz wrote. \u201c\u2018Yeah,\u2019 I said. \u2018Bible study went sideways.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Tim Matheson\u2019s Call With Rob Lowe<\/h3>\n

Matheson\u2019s book Damn Glad to Meet You<\/em> was released in November<\/a>. He joked about former costar Lowe asking for his nanny\u2019s number while they worked together on The West Wing. Matheson quipped that Lowe subsequently \u201cstole\u201d her.<\/p>\n

Jaleel White\u2019s Nearly-Naked Moment With Magic Johnson<\/h3>\n

White, of Family Matters<\/em> fame, reflecting on being a child star<\/a> in the November Growing Up Urkel<\/em> book. The actor crossed paths with Johnson in a locker room and joked that the NBA star was \u201cbarely holding on\u201d a towel.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to keep my eyes to myself, but I was like, \u2018Wow.\u2019 I just never imagined I would get this unfiltered view of Magic\u2019s johnson,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Cher Has an Encounter With \u2026 Everyone<\/h3>\n

The first part of Cher\u2019s self-titled memoir<\/a>, released in November, had tons of celebrity name-drops \u2014 but a few stood out among the rest. The singer recalled hanging out with Liza Minelli<\/strong> as a child, and subsequently meeting her mom Judy Garland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did as we were told, and when we sat on the front steps Liza spontaneously burst into song with \u2018Somewhere Over the Rainbow.\u2019 I remember thinking that was strange, as I\u2019d never been around a kid who just burst into song like that, even though she was pretty darn good,\u201d Cher wrote. \u201cIt was only later that I realized she was Liza Minnelli and that the woman on the stairs was Judy Garland. Now I realize she probably wasn\u2019t drinking juice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the book, she recalled a moment with Warren Beatty<\/strong>. The actor nearly crashed into her while driving and when Cher got out to yell at him, she recognized Beatty.<\/p>\n
