Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose<\/strong> was stretchered off the field and taken to the hospital after a terrifying injury during the team\u2019s game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, December 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

DuBose, 23, was left motionless after a hit in the head by the Texans\u2019 Calen Bullock<\/strong> during the third quarter of Sunday\u2019s game. The jersey of DuBose was cut off and his facemask was unscrewed by medical staff before being placed on a stretcher and hurried into a waiting emergency vehicle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Dolphins<\/a>, DuBose was in stable condition while leaving the stadium and would be further evaluated at the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

Per the CBS broadcast, DuBose was being taken to Houston\u2019s Memorial Hermann Health System, roughly a 20 mile drive from NRG Stadium.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNFL coaches and players \u2014 both past and present \u2014 have offered their reactions to the illegal hit taken by Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.\u00a0 The play in question happened on Sunday, December 1, when Lawrence, 25, was hit in the head by Houston Texans linebacker Azezz Al-Shaair while the Jaguars star was sliding to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As DuBose was being attended to on the field, the entire Dolphins roster dropped to one knee in a prayer circle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The injury was cause for incredible concern on social media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fox 26 Houston reporter Will Kunkel<\/strong> wrote via X, \u201cTerrifying moment as Grant DuBose is taken off the field on a stretcher. His jersey was cut off and face mask was unscrewed while lying on the field. Pray for Grant and his family.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the longest I\u2019ve ever seen a game delayed because of an injury,\u201d KPRC 2 Houston reporter Chancellor Johnson<\/strong> posted via X. \u201cThe entire Dolphins team was circled in prayer. An emotional scene at NRG as Grant DuBose was carted off the field.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

DuBose was playing in just the third game of his NFL career. The wide receiver, who played football at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, made his professional debut on September 8 after the Dolphins claimed him off waivers in August.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The injury to DuBose came on a pass from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa<\/strong><\/a>, who has an extensive history with head injuries himself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
