It came in third place with $11 million, even worse than expectations and Sony&#8217;s other bomb of the year, <b>Madame Web<\/b>, on a $110 million budget.<\/p>\n<p>The other big new release of the weekend was the animated <b>The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim<\/b>, which came in fifth place with a $4.6 million take. The budget for this project was a more modest $30 million, and the goal was primarily for the studio to keep the rights to make more <b>Lord of the Rings<\/b> films, so in that sense, they succeeded. <\/p>\n<p><b>Moana 2<\/b> kept the top spot at the box office with $26.2 million, while <b>Wicked <\/b>followed close behind with $22.5 million. <b>Wicked<\/b> is now the top grossing musical adaptation of all time, overcoming previous record holder <b>Grease<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the top five was Gladiator II with $7.8 million.
