Detroit Lions cornerback Khalil Dorsey<\/strong> was carted off the field on Sunday, December 15, after suffering a gruesome ankle injury.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dorsey, 26, collided with teammate<\/a> Ezekiel Turner<\/strong> during the second quarter of the team\u2019s game against the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field in Detroit.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the aftermath of the injury, Dorsey\u2019s teammates took to a knee and surrounded him on the field. Lions head coach Dan Campbell<\/strong> also made his way to Dorsey to check on his injured player.<\/span><\/p>\n

After being put in an air cast, Dorsey was taken off the field on a cart in obvious distress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

DuBose, 23, was left motionless after a hit in the head by the Texans\u2019 Calen Bullock during the third quarter of Sunday\u2019s game. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson<\/strong>, Dorsey had been transported to a local hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dorsey had been inserted into the game after an injury to Lions starting cornerback Carlton Davis III<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lions immediately ruled Davis out of the game with an ankle injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The graphic nature of Dorsey\u2019s injury, which played out on the CBS broadcast, brought immediate reaction from viewers on social media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLions hit with another injury,\u201d one person wrote via X. \u201cI feel so bad for these players personally, and as a team I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ve seen a squad so decimated by injuries. Praying for a safe, and healthy recovery for Khalil Dorsey.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cMan, prayers up for Lions #30 Khalil Dorsey\u2026that\u2019s just horrible. Hate seeing that happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Some fans also criticized Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins<\/strong>, who appeared to point at and mock Dorsey while he was on the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n
