Nicole Richie<\/strong><\/a> and Adele<\/strong><\/a> have been extremely close friends for years now, and a source exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> they\u2019re brainstorming an exciting new acting project together that will see the British superstar make good on her dream of becoming an actress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While everyone knows the \u201cSomeone Like You\u201d singer as a mega-famous musician, the insider notes that, \u201cAdele is a natural actress and a lot of people, including Nicole, think she should use her time off from singing to explore that side of herself more.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Adele, 36, revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone<\/em> in December 2021 that she got to know Nicole, 43, because they were neighbors<\/a>. The hitmaker told the publication that Nicole \u201chumanized me, because I had avoided talking to anyone that was ever famous in any capacity because I was like, \u2018Well, I\u2019m not famous.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very British like that,\u201d Adele explained to the publication.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe never spoke about work, which was amazing, because most of the time when I catch up with someone, they want to know all about my work, and I\u2018m like, I don\u2019t want to talk about that. Can we talk about something else? I\u2018m knackered,\u201d she continued.<\/span><\/p>\n The insider says that since hitting it off, the two have been great friends since: \u201cShe and Nicole are always clowning around together and goofing off for the camera. They have this hysterical act where they both play really over the top characters, sort of like a modern version of Edina and Patsy from Ab Fab<\/em>, and they\u2019ll just shoot random videos in character that are absolutely hysterical.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThey only share them with their close friends, who are under strict orders not to post them online, but everyone always says they should make a show out of it, they\u2019re really that funny.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While the \u201cHello\u201d singer has discussed her acting aspirations in the past, firmly putting down<\/a> any chances of her starring in a singing role while also revealing that she\u2019s had many screen time offers before.<\/span><\/p>\n When asked about whether her dream role would be a biopic, she said, \u201cI get offered that all the time. I get offered to do biopics of singers, and I think that\u2019s too obvious. And also anyone that\u2019s great enough to have a biopic about them, you\u2019re just setting yourself up for disaster. Then would they want me to sing as myself? Because then it would sound like me, it wouldn\u2019t sound like them. So I wouldn\u2019t do it. But that\u2019s all I\u2019ve been offered, really.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n With the singer\u2019s two-year Las Vegas ending, there\u2019s boundless opportunities for her to take hold of now that she has the time.
