Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> wasn\u2019t able to make the 2024 Billboard Music Awards<\/a>, but the star still had a message for her fans at the event.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to say hi and thank you to the Billboard Awards and thank you to the fans because Billboard is counting your stuff, they\u2019re counting what you listen to, the albums that you\u2019re passionate about,\u201d Taylor, 35, said in a prerecorded video of her acceptance speech played on Thursday, December 12. \u201cAnd so I count these as fan awards because you guys are the ones who care about our albums and come see us in concert.\u201d<\/p>\n The pop star continued, \u201cAnd everything that\u2019s happened with the Eras tour and The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, I just have to say thank you. It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I\u2019ve made and the fact that you care so much. This is like, the nicest early birthday present you could have given me. So thank you very much. I love it. It\u2019s exactly what I wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor wasn\u2019t able to attend the event in person. Instead, the \u201cSo High School\u201d singer spent her night with some of her youngest fans at a local children\u2019s hospital in Kansas City<\/a>. Videos of her time at the hospital showed her conversing with some of the patients, including a little girl who told her she was a fan of Taylor\u2019s boyfriend, Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI like Travis now,\u201d the girl told Taylor.<\/p>\n The Miss Americana star replied, \u201cYes, me too. That\u2019s an absolute yes on that one.\u201d<\/p>\n Another clip shared featured Taylor making a TikTok video<\/a> with another patient as they sang along to her hit \u201cBad Blood.\u201d Taylor dramatically flung back a curtain before stepping forward to lip-synch the words to the song.<\/p>\n Even though the \u201cAll Too Well\u201d artist missed out on the Billboard Music Awards, she was still up for awards in multiple categories.
