Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> was inundated with love after announcing her engagement to Benny Blanco<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 including a message from best friend Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n After Selena, 32, posted about her engagement<\/a> on Instagram<\/a>, Taylor, 34, \u201cliked\u201d the post and popped into the comments section to write, \u201cYes I will be the flower girl.\u201d<\/p>\n Selena shared her exciting news by posting a closeup photo of her new engagement ring, which featured a marquise diamond atop a diamond-studded band. \u201cForever begins now..\u201d she captioned her post. The \u201cWolves\u201d singer also shared pictures from the apparent proposal scene, which featured a picnic blanket and Taco Bell dinner, as well as a shot of her holding up her left hand while snuggling up to Benny, 36.<\/p>\n The former Disney star and Benny were friends and collaborators for years before getting together. She confirmed their relationship in December 2023 and said that the two had already been dating for six months at that point.<\/p>\n In May, Benny teased a future engagement with Selena when he appeared on The Howard Stern Show<\/em>. When the radio host told his guest he was \u201cpredicting marriage\u201d in his and Selena\u2019s future, Benny responded, \u201cYou and me both.\u201d At the time, he had not purchased a ring yet, but he was already looking forward to having kids with his girlfriend, adding that it was his \u201cnext goal\u201d in life.<\/p>\n Selena opened up about the romance in a November interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> when she shared, \u201cI see a future<\/a> with this person.
