The NFL does not presently intend to sever its working relationship with Jay-Z<\/strong> <\/a>amid recent misconduct accusations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re aware of the civil allegations and Jay-Z\u2019s really strong response to that,\u201d NFL commissioner Roger Goodell<\/strong> said during a Wednesday, December 11, press conference. \u201cWe know the litigation is happening now. From our standpoint, our relationship is not changing with them, including our preparations for the next Super Bowl.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jay-Z\u2019s Roc Nation is one of the leading sponsors of the Apple Music Halftime Show at the annual Super Bowl<\/a> matchup. Roc Nation and the NFL initially inked a partnership deal in 2019, extending it earlier this year. (Super Bowl LIX will feature a performance from Kendrick Lamar<\/strong><\/a> during the February 9, 2025 championship.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they\u2019re getting incredibly comfortable with not just with the Super Bowl but other events they\u2019ve advised us on and helped us with,\u201d Goodell, 65, added on Wednesday. \u201cThey\u2019ve been a big help in the social justice area to us on many occasions. They\u2019ve been great partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJay-Z has filed to dismiss the civil lawsuit that accused him of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Per court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, December 9, Jay-Z, 55, asked the court to dismiss Jane Doe\u2019s civil lawsuit \u201cfor lack of subject matter jurisdiction due to the plaintiff\u2019s lack of standing.\u201d \u201cPlaintiff has [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

News broke on Sunday, December 8, that Jay-Z, 55, had been accused of rape in a civil lawsuit<\/a>. An anonymous plaintiff claimed that Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) and Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong> raped her in 2000 when she was 13. Both Diddy and Jay-Z denied the \u201cheinous\u201d accusations.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,\u201d Jay-Z wrote in a lengthy statement<\/a> released on Sunday. \u201cI mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The next day, Jay-Z filed to dismiss <\/a>the legal complaint hours before stepping out with wife Beyonc\u00e9 at the world premiere of her movie Mufasa<\/i><\/a>. The film also stars the couple\u2019s 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, who joined them on the red carpet alongside Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s mother, Tina Knowles<\/strong>. (Jay-Z and Beyonc\u00e9, 43, also share 8-year-old twins Sir and Rumi.)<\/p>\n
