An unexpected crossover! Actress Gillian Jacobs<\/strong> is a big fan of Vanderpump Rules<\/em> <\/a>\u2014 and it all started because of Laura-Leigh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know who I actually met long before the show was Laura-Leigh,\u201d the Community<\/em><\/a> alum, 40, revealed during the Wednesday, April 12, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI went to Juilliard, Laura-Leigh went to Juilliard. I was about two years out of college and one of the teachers called me and said, \u2018We have this student who really wants to do indie films. Will you talk to her?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Jacobs recalled having \u201ca very nice coffee\u201d with the former reality star<\/a> before she appeared on the hit Bravo series. \u201cThat\u2019s actually why I started watching the show,\u201d the Fear Street star added. \u201cMy boyfriend had Bravo on, I walked past him and I was like, \u2018What is Laura-Leigh doing on?!\u2019 So, I\u2019m a day one.\u201d<\/p>\n The Girls<\/em> alum noted that she did not keep in touch<\/a> with Laura-Leigh but referred to her as \u201cvery lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n Viewers were introduced to the aspiring actress when Vanderpump Rules<\/em> premiered in 2013<\/a>. During the first season, Laura-Leigh found herself in a love triangle with Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> amid his off and on romance with Stassi Schroeder<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Taylor, 43, ultimately ended his relationship with Laura-Leigh<\/a> after attending an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting<\/a> with her. Ahead of their onscreen split, Laura-Leigh candidly discussed her history with drugs before getting sober<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI started drinking when I was 12 and then got into meth really heavily,\u201d she said during an episode of Vanderpump Rules<\/em>. \u201cI was robbing my family\u2019s houses, selling all of our stuff to pawn shops. It was really, really bad. I do everything as hard as I can do it, as fast as I can do it, and yet I\u2019m still convinced that I can have a glass of wine.\u201d<\/p>\n Taylor, who has since tied the knot with Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a>, said he was \u201cshocked\u201d about his then-girlfriend\u2019s past<\/a>, adding in a confessional, \u201cI knew some of the things she\u2019s done, but I was in shock. I didn\u2019t realize it was to that extent.\u201d<\/p>\n In the season 1 finale, Laura-Leigh told Lisa Vanderpump<\/strong><\/a> she was quitting her job at SUR because she booked a role alongside Jennifer Aniston<\/strong><\/a> in We\u2019re the Millers<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t feel like it\u2019s real,\u201d she told her former boss about the \u201cgreat\u201d and \u201chilarious\u201d part in the 2013 film. \u201cI used to watch [Jennifer Aniston\u2019s] E! True Hollywood Story at home, like on my couch in Arkansas, and be like, \u2018I can do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The former waitress has since appeared in The Client List, Blue Bloods, Under the Silver Lake<\/em> and multiple short films.<\/p>\n Katie Maloney<\/strong><\/a> recently recalled her attempt to get in contact with Laura-Leigh, telling Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> on WWHL<\/em> in March, \u201cI have reached out in [the] recent past!
