Dolly Parton has revealed how she celebrates anniversaries<\/p>\n

The 78-year-old country music singer – who has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966 – has revealed that she actually prefers low-key anniversary celebrations, despite her fame and success.<\/p>\n

Dolly – who is one of the best-selling music artists of all time – said on the ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast: “Even on anniversaries and stuff like that, we usually stay home and make something special.”<\/p>\n

Dolly also revealed that she likes to eat at McDonald’s or Mexican restaurants.<\/p>\n

The ‘Jolene’ hitmaker shared: “He loves Mexican food, period. But we go, we’ll go sit in a booth, if it’s an anniversary or just sometimes on a Saturday. We know where to go before the crowd comes. He doesn’t like big crowds.”<\/p>\n

\nCarl, 82, has always preferred to stay out of the spotlight, and he still isn’t interested in fame.<\/p>\n

\nDolly said: “Everybody loves Carl. He don’t want me to tell the world nothing about Carl, so there you go. I can talk what I want to, but he’ll say, ‘Just leave me out the whole damn thing.'”<\/p>\n

\nDolly previously revealed that she gets asked by fans if her husband actually exists.<\/p>\n

\nThe award-winning singer has always kept her marriage out of the limelight, and some people still doubt if Carl is actually real.<\/p>\n

\nDolly told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ in 2020: “A lot of people have thought that through the years, because he does not want to be in the spotlight at all.<\/p>\n

\n“It’s just not who he is. He’s like, a quiet, reserved person and he figured if he ever got out there in that, he’d never get a minute\u2019s peace and he’s right about that.”<\/p>\n
