\t\t<\/p>\n It has been nearly three years since the most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother<\/strong><\/a><\/em> aired and we unfortunately won\u2019t be getting a new edition in 2025.<\/p>\n CBS<\/strong><\/a> debuted the celebrity edition of Big Brother<\/em> in 2018 to air at the same time as the Winter Olympics, which were airing on NBC<\/strong><\/a>. The network decided to run a second installment in 2019, but they waited until the Olympics again in 2022 for season three.<\/p>\n While the producers of Big Brother<\/em> want to do another celebrity season, they\u2019re opening up about why CBS has not moved forward with it yet. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIf you look at it, and again, we can\u2019t speak for CBS, the history of Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> has it going against the Winter Olympics,\u201d executive producer Allison Grodner<\/strong> told Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n She added, \u201cWe did try the back-to-back, and we\u2019ve heard rumblings that [airing opposite the Olympics] might be the way that Celebrity <\/em>is utilized.\u201d <\/p>\n Allison <\/strong>does want to do a celebrity edition every year.<\/p>\n \u201cWe can\u2019t speak for CBS, but we agree with you. We think Celebrity <\/em>is its own thing and is worthy of being on every other year or annually. It\u2019s been a lot of fun, so we\u2019re hoping to see it come back,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Executive producer Rich Meehan<\/strong> added, \u201cYeah, we would love to do it. There are usually much bigger things in play, like it\u2019s scheduling and how much time they have on air, and there are a lot of factors that are much bigger than Big Brother<\/em> that go into that. But we love doing it. It\u2019s really fun, and it would be great to do again, But sometimes we have to wait and see how many scripted shows are happening and all that stuff.
