Jamie Foxx<\/a>: What Had Happened Was….’: \u201cOn April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin. I realised quickly that when you\u2019re in a medical emergency, your boys don\u2019t know what the f*** to do.\u201d<\/p>\nHe shockingly spilled: \u201cI don\u2019t remember 20 days.”<\/p>\n
The teary-eyed star admitted to the audience after declaring he was “back”: \u201cYou don\u2019t know how good this feels.”<\/p>\n
\nThe 56-year-old star insists it\u2019s still \u201ca mystery\u201d what happened.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt is a mystery. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe still don\u2019t know exactly what happened to me.”<\/p>\n
\nAfter starting his sentence with “What had happened was,\u201d Jamie broke down in tears and was comforted by the applauding audience.<\/p>\n
\nHe then said: \u201cYour life doesn\u2019t flash before you. It was kind of oddly peaceful.<\/p>\n
\n“I saw the tunnel, but I didn\u2019t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel.”<\/p>\n
\nJamie quipped: \u201cS***, am I going to the wrong place?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJamie credits his sister Deidra with \u201csaving [his] life\u201d after she \u201caimlessly\u201d drove him around before taking him to Atlanta\u2019s Piedmont Hospital, where he underwent a life-saving procedure.<\/p>\n
\nAddressing why his family wanted to keep details of his health scare to themselves, he said: “I was dizzy from the stroke, so my head would bob around, and my family thought everyone would ‘meme the f***’ out of me.”<\/p>\n
\nJamie vividly remembers waking up on May 4, and being unable to walk.<\/p>\n
\nHe recalled: “When I woke up, I found myself in a wheelchair. I couldn\u2019t walk.”<\/p>\n
\nJamie didn’t want to believe he’d had a stroke and recounted his therapist telling him about his ego: “You need to kill the old Jamie so the new Jamie can thrive.”<\/p>\n
\nHe also reflected: “God blessed me with money and fame, but when I forgot about God, He blessed me with a stroke.”<\/p>\n
