Tyler Perry<\/strong><\/a> has a close relationship with Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 but he didn\u2019t need to be too hands on when they made their move to the states.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeghan is from California. She knows California well. So there was nothing to prepare them for,\u201d Perry, 55, shared in an interview with The Sunday Times<\/a> published on Sunday, December 8. \u201cBut I will say this: what I learnt about mentioning them \u2014 because there\u2019s this insatiable appetite to know all about them \u2014 is that any question that is asked becomes the headline of anything I say.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TV mogul is famously close with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, opening up his Los Angeles home to them in 2020. In the 2022 Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan<\/em>, Markle described her introduction to Perry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d never met him before,\u201d she said. \u201cI was a wreck. I was just crying and crying. Sometimes it\u2019s easier to open up to someone who knows nothing at all, and that was that moment with me and Tyler.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 10-figure club is mostly populated by entrepreneurs and business magnates \u2014 people including Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. Celebrities who breathe that rarefied air have usually diversified their portfolios to include all kinds of partnerships, investments and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, Perry is the Godfather to the couple\u2019s 3-year-old daughter, Lillibet. (Harry and Meghan also share 5-year-old son Archie.)<\/p>\n

Meghan most recently supported Perry at an event in Los Angeles when she attended the Paley Center for Media\u2019s Paley Honors fall gala on Wednesday, December 5. Perry was being honored for his work in film at the event, and the two longtime friends posed for photos together on the red carpet.<\/p>\n

Perry, for his part, got candid about his relationship with both Meghan and Harry in an interview with E! News.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a real, pure and beautiful friendship. I love them,\u201d he gushed on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
