The 2025 Golden Globes<\/a> will kick off awards season in style.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association honors both achievements in movies and on television. The night allows all of our favorite TV and movie stars to brush elbows while honoring the best performances of the year.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Oppenheimer<\/em> was the big winner, walking away with five trophies, including the coveted Best Motion Picture \u2014 Drama. However, Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> was all anyone could talk about. From her whispering to Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> being endlessly meme\u2019d to Jo Koy<\/strong>\u2018s joke falling flat<\/a> with the Swifties to Emma Stone<\/strong> jokingly insulting her<\/a>, most of Us<\/em> forgot that she actually lost.<\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s Eras Tour<\/em> concert film was nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, but Barbie<\/em> took home<\/a> the trophy. Still, her green sequin dress was one of the red carpet<\/a> highlights.<\/p>\n

The nominees will be revealed on Monday, December 9, on CBSNews.com\/GoldenGlobes and the CBS News Mobile App at 8:15 a.m. ET. Ten exclusive categories will be revealed beginning live at 8:30 a.m. ET on CBS Mornings.<\/p>\n

Who Is Hosting the 2025 Golden Globe Nominations?<\/h3>\n

Actors Mindy Kaling<\/strong><\/a> and Morris Chestnut<\/strong> will present the nominees for the 27 award categories. Kaling is currently an executive producer on Max\u2019s Sex Lives of College Girls<\/em> while Chestnut stars in the new CBS procedural Watson<\/em>, which debuts on January 26.<\/p>\n

Who Will Host the 2025 Golden Globes?<\/h3>\n

Nikki Glaser<\/strong> <\/a>will host the 82nd annual Golden Globes. Since it\u2019s her first time hosting the event, she turned to three-time host Ricky Gervais<\/strong><\/a> for advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, \u2018Be yourself. Do what you did at the roast and employ whatever method you used there. And don\u2019t forget that you\u2019re not one of them. You\u2019re not a movie star, you\u2019re not a TV star. You\u2019re at the Globes, you\u2019re the host and you\u2019re a comedian and that\u2019s your job,\u2019\u201d she told GoldenGlobes.com in early December. \u201cThat was really refreshing to hear.\u201d<\/p>\n
