Tom Schwartz<\/strong><\/a> understands why Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a> went through an overhaul \u2014 but he doesn\u2019t like the toxic ending for the original cast.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m at peace with it. I kind of knew [the announcement] was coming. But I don\u2019t necessarily love the way [season 11] ended,\u201d Schwartz, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the grand opening of Pinky\u2019s by Vanderpump at the Flamingo Las Vegas on Thursday, December 5. \u201cIt was a little heavy, a little toxic, a little fractured.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schwartz argued that there should have been \u201cone more season\u201d<\/a> with him, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay <\/strong>and James Kennedy<\/strong> before Bravo introduced a new group to take over.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I mean, the network made the right decision, I guess,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd we got 11 seasons. That\u2019s insane. I\u2019m so grateful for that. So I have nothing to gripe or complain about. It was probably 11 of the best years of my life. I got to travel the world. And yeah, man, it was exhilarating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schwartz has been feeling \u201cnostalgic\u201d and \u201csentimental\u201d since news broke that he wasn\u2019t coming back for season 12<\/a>, adding, \u201cI still talk to everyone \u2014 mostly everybody. Everyone\u2019s thriving, everyone\u2019s doing their thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

After season 12 was previously put on pause due to tension between the current cast, Bravo confirmed in November that production begins next year with Lisa Vanderpump<\/strong> and a new group of servers from her SUR restaurant in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Schwartz, Kent, 34, and Shay, 39, however, are expected to make appearances<\/a> on season 2 of the Vanderpump Rules<\/em> spinoff The Valley<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI pop in. You\u2019ll probably see some cameos,\u201d Schwartz teased to Us<\/em> on Thursday. \u201cI hang out with all those people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before his personal life blew up on a nationwide scale in March 2023, Sandoval and Tom Schwartz partnered up with Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, on TomTom. The restaurant, which opened [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Vanderpump Rules<\/em> news came days after Schwartz and Sandoval, 42, announced that they were closing their bar Schwartz & Sandy\u2019s. The duo have cited the fallout from Sandoval\u2019s cheating scandal with Rachel Leviss<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 and subsequent split from Madix \u2014 for causing a decline in business.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been challenging. I\u2019m honestly walking away proud. I gave it my all \u2014 we gave it our all \u2014 we really did. We put our hearts and souls into that venture and we had some real good times and I learned a lot,\u201d Schwartz explained on Thursday. \u201cAnd we\u2019re trying to finish strong. We decked it out, we decked the halls. It\u2019s all holidayed out. And we\u2019re still available for holiday bookings.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cHonestly, I want to say thank you to everyone. The outpouring of love in the past two weeks since we made the announcement has been insane. Like, it\u2019s packed right now, so it\u2019s kind of bittersweet. But, yeah, I guess good things come to an end.\u201d<\/p>\n
