Flavor Flav<\/strong><\/a> claimed that NBC security kicked him out of the Backstreet Boys\u2019 dressing room at the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting.<\/p>\n

In an X post that has since been deleted, the hip-hop icon, 65, wrote on Wednesday, December 4, \u201cI feel weird \u2026 I was invited to the Rockefeller Tree Lighting tonite and I was escorted to see my boys \u2026 THE BACKSTREET BOYS \u2026 and we were backstage in their dressing room \u2026 security came up tp me and says @nbc does not want me in this area and I need to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time \u2026 their social media woman came up and asked me to capture social content. What did I ever do to NBC or anyone??\u201d he continued. \u201cAll I ever do is try to spread joy and love \u2026 and I think I did that for NBC at the Olympics.\u201d<\/p>\n

After deleting the post, Flav later shared via X<\/a>, \u201cI deleted the tweet \u2026 but my spirit is broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a subsequent tweet, the Flavor of Love<\/em> star shared a short video of him enjoying Wednesday\u2019s tree lighting and wrote<\/a>, \u201cChristmas in the city \u2026 ain\u2019t nothing like the Rockefeller tree lighting . \ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffe\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has contacted NBC for comment.<\/p>\n

The Backstreet Boys joined host Kelly Clarkson<\/strong> for Wednesday\u2019s tree lighting, which was broadcast live on NBC. They performed Nat King Cole\u2019<\/strong>s \u201cThe Christmas Song (Merry Christmas to You).\u201d Other musical guests included Raye<\/strong>, Jennifer Hudson<\/strong> and Little Big Town.<\/p>\n

Flav, meanwhile, recently revealed<\/a> that he wasn\u2019t aware that actress and singer Selena Gomez<\/strong> is best friends with his favorite pop star, Taylor Swift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In November, Flav uploaded a GIF of Gomez talking with Swift via X. In the video, Swift appears shocked by what Gomez is saying. \u201cMe finding out Taylor and Selena are best friends,\u201d he captioned the clip.<\/p>\n
