The \u2018I Kissed a Girl\u2019 singer, 40, lives near the Duke of Sussex, 40, and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, 43, with her long-term actor partner Orlando Bloom<\/a>, 47, in Montecito, California \u2013 with the pair of celebs among the guests invited to the third birthday party for Harry and Meghan\u2019s daughter Lilibet.<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s Invictus Games has now messaged on X about Katy being lined up to play its Whistler Opening Ceremony in Vancouver, Canada: \u201cBuckle up because we\u2019re beyond excited to announce that the one and only, Multi-Platinum Global Pop Superstar, @katyperry will be joining GRAMMY-Award Nominated, Multi-Platinum Artist @NoahKahan, Multi-Talented Musician and Songwriter @NellyFurtado for a truly epic Opening Ceremony Known for her iconic hits like \u2018Roar\u2019, \u2018Firework\u2019, and \u2018Dark Horse\u2019 \u2013 experience these goosebump worthy moments IRL!\u201d<\/p>\n

Katy has earned five American Music Awards, 13 Grammy nominations and 14 People\u2019s Choice Awards and was named by Billboard as one of the 21st century\u2019s biggest pop stars.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Invictus Games for disabled military veterans will run from 8 to 16 February across multiple locations in Whistler and Vancouver.<\/p>\n

\nKaty is the biggest star to appear at the bi-annual event.<\/p>\n

\nHer and Orlando\u2019s friendship with Harry and Meghan was highlighted last year when the Sussexes were at Katy\u2019s \u2018Fireworks\u2019 concert in Las Vegas sitting in VIP seats alongside Celine Dion.<\/p>\n

\nHarry usually delivers an opening speech at the Invictus Games to welcome the athletes, while Meghan traditionally takes to the stage for closing remarks after the week-long event attended by athletes from over 30 countries.<\/p>\n

\nTo promote the 2025 games he has so far taken part in a comedy sketch where he appears to be getting an Invictus tattoo from 40-year-old singer Jelly Roll.<\/p>\n
