Television personality Bill Maher<\/a>, who hosts the popular show Real Time With Bill Maher<\/em><\/a>, shared his thoughts about potentially stepping away from his role during a pre-election Club Random<\/em><\/a><\/strong> podcast episode. Speaking with actress Jane Fonda<\/a> in a conversation that reportedly happened over a month ago, Maher expressed his weariness regarding President-elect Donald Trump.<\/p>\n \u201cI’m shiiting my pants,\u201d Maher said. \u201cIt’s hard to believe.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I may quit,\u201d Maher continued. \u201cBecause I don’t wanna do another \u2013 I did Trump. I did all the Trump stuff before anybody. I called him a con man before anybody. I did, \u2018he’s a mafia boss.’ I was the one who said he wasn’t gonna concede the election. I’ve done it.\u201d<\/p>\n Maher mentioned he’s \u201cseen this fucking shit\u201d when Fonda inquired about Trump’s attitude toward the host.<\/p>\n \u201cHe’s very hostile to me. He tweets about me every week,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n In late September, Trump took to Truth Social to comment about witnessing \u201cfake laughter\u201d while watching \u201cLow Rated Bill Maher.\u201d A week prior, Trump had posted that \u201cthe ratings-challenged Bill Maher, on his increasingly boring show on HBO, is really having a hard time coping with TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEvery week, he accidentally watches my show and then, \u2018low ratings loser,’\u201d Maher said, mimicking Trump’s speaking style. \u201cBut, I mean, I just, I’m bored with it.\u201d<\/p>\n When Fonda recommended that the host \u201cfind a new thing to do and not do Trump,\u201d Maher explained that there’s \u201cno other thing\u201d since Real Time centers on political discourse.<\/p>\n \n
