Just three days after choosing their trial marriage partners during season 3 of Netflix<\/a>\u2019s <\/span>The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On<\/span><\/i><\/a>, two couples decided to leave the experiment early with their original partners.<\/span><\/p>\n Chanel Watkins<\/strong> and Micah<\/strong> Hardeman<\/strong> as well as Dave<\/strong> Adams<\/strong> and Vanessa<\/strong> Hattaway<\/strong> abruptly quit filming just one week into the season, \u201cabruptly ending their experience.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Chanel, 27, had given her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, Micah, 28, an ultimatum which led to them breaking up and choosing other partners for a trial marriage. Likewise, Vanessa, 30, gave her boyfriend, Dave, 34, the ultimatum but decided not to go through with the experiment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prior to the couples walking out, viewers watched as Chanel and ex-boyfriend Micah were seen in security footage sneaking out in the middle of the night for a secret meetup. Micah\u2019s trial marriage partner Mariah<\/strong> Zernik<\/strong> was then seen waking up looking confused when she noticed he was missing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDo you mind if I just get some fresh air?\u201d Chanel asked her trial marriage partner Dave at 3:25 a.m on the first night of their relationship. He immediately agreed but voiced his concern for her safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In a private confessional Chanel told producers, \u201cTonight I\u2019m feeling so many emotions inside of me, you know. You don\u2019t even know how to articulate them. One minute you\u2019re coming into this experience with your partner. Then choose somebody, now you\u2019re living with them. You\u2019re a whole wife, and it\u2019s like, I don\u2019t even know if I\u2019ve gotten a chance to process everything I just experienced in the beginning. Damn, this is a lot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She was seen tiptoeing back to their shared apartment five hours later. She and Dave sat down for a conversation where she explained that she was having a \u201chard\u201d time with the experiment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI apologize for leaving you here,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not you right now, it\u2019s me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite seemingly forming a connection with Nick<\/strong> Tramotin<\/strong>, Vanessa went back to her original partner and left without warning. Nick, 38, was seen arriving home to an empty apartment.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI came back to the apartment, and I\u2019m alone,\u201d Nick said. \u201cVanessa packed up her things and left. There was no goodbye.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He added, \u201cI had a really great connection with Vanessa, I think I tapped into something that she\u2019s been wanting to feel in her relationship with Dave. I really wanted to build on that. This entire experience is provided for us to be in difficult situations. It\u2019s challenging. Dave, he may have been threatened, I don\u2019t know. But, Vanessa got her stuff out, and she\u2019s gone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Micah\u2019s trial marriage partner, Mariah, had a similar story. \u201cI had just come home from the mall, and Micah is not here,\u201d Mariah, 24, said in a confessional. \u201cHis stuff is gone and the book he lent me is gone. I\u2019m confused as to why he left and didn\u2019t say a word.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n A note appeared on screen explaining, \u201cEarlier in the day, Dave, Vanessa, Micah and Chanel secretly met off camera. That evening, surveillance cameras captured them packing.\u201d It went on to claim that the two couples \u201cquickly departed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
