The holiday season is extra merry for Joan Vassos<\/strong><\/a> and fianc\u00e9 Chock Chapple<\/strong><\/a> as the Golden Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> alums prepare to spend their first Christmas together. Once the clock hit December 1, Joan and Chock got into the spirit by putting up their first Christmas tree together.<\/p>\n \u201cOur first golden Christmas. Special thank you to my friend @kateslaytonlettering for this beautiful custom ornament! #newtraditions #thegoldenbachelorette,\u201d the pair captioned their joint Instagram post<\/a> on Sunday, December 1.<\/p>\n Joan, 61, and Chock, 61, dressed casually and for the occasion while decorating their multicolored mini tree with their personalized wood ornament. The decoration was highlighted in one photo of the carousel, which featured an image of a wedding gown and tuxedo with the text, \u201cThe Golden Bachelorette. Engaged 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n Next to the Christmas tree hung more than 10 stockings for Joan and Chock\u2019s blended family, filled with children and grandchildren. Above that flashed a cement horse wearing a Santa hat. Chock\u2019s daughter, Taylor Chapple<\/strong>, thanked Joan for her new stocking in the comments section of the post.<\/p>\n The former Golden Bachelorette responded, \u201cLove that I\u2019m running out of room for stockings! Blessed!\u201d<\/p>\n Another fan wrote, \u201cLove it! That\u2019s a ton of stockings. How many children are there between the two of you?\u201d Joan replied, explaining she has four kids, Nicholas<\/strong>, Erica<\/strong>, Allison<\/strong> and Luke<\/strong>, two grandkids and two son-in-laws.<\/p>\n In addition to Taylor, Chock shares son Tyler with ex-wife Heather Chapple<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Fans watched Chock and Joan\u2019s love story unfold during The Golden Bachelorette<\/em> season 1, leading to their on camera engagement in November.<\/p>\n \u201cJoan, you will never be invisible to me. I\u2019m gonna tell you that I love you every day. I promise that. And I look into those gorgeous eyes, and I just can\u2019t believe this is happening,\u201d Chock said while down on one knee. \u201cI still think I\u2019m in a dream and I\u2019m just gonna wake up. But Joan, I love you. And I want you to be in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n The pair continues to live separately<\/a> after their summer 2024 engagement as Joan resides in Maryland and Chuck\u2019s roots are in Kansas. However, they decided to purchase a property in New York City for special alone time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re going to be going back and forth between Kansas and Maryland and to New York,\u201d the insurance executive told People<\/em><\/a> on November 14 alongside his fianc\u00e9e. \u201cWe\u2019ll have a full-time place in New York and whenever we get the opportunity, we\u2019re going to be there. We\u2019re going to get it figured out this next year.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in the interview, Joan gushed over their shared holiday plans.<\/p>\n \u201cOur kids have gotten to know each other a little bit over the phone and texting, but they\u2019re finally going to get to spend four or five days together,\u201d Joan said. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait for them to be together because we feel like they are going to have a lot of fun with each other.
