Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> had both an emotional and physical impact on season 33 winner Joey Graziadei<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Before taking home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy with Jenna Johnson<\/strong>, the former Bachelor, 29, spoke about the weight he lost during his time on the ABC competition series. \u201cI definitely got a little too thin quickly,\u201d he shared during an interview on the \u201cLightweights Podcast with Joe Vulpis\u201d<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n Graziadei explained that certain dance styles \u201ctransformed\u201d him, particularly the jive. \u201cWe lost so much weight during that week because we were just kicking and flicking and doing so much,\u201d he stated. \u201cSame thing in the samba. You have to move so much in those dances that I, like \u2014 [my fianc\u00e9e Kelsey Anderson<\/strong>\u2019s] the one that tells you, she\u2019s like, \u2018You\u2019re looking pretty thin.\u2019 I\u2019m definitely getting cut, but I\u2019m losing a lot of weight and my size 32 pants, I need a 30 all of a sudden, it feels like, \u2018cause I\u2019m having to buckle it up so tight.\u201d<\/p>\n In the later weeks of the competition, however, dance styles such as the Argentina tango and contemporary helped Graziadei gain some muscle. \u201cWe\u2019re doing a lot of lifts. \u2026 I\u2019m actually holding up Jenna and having to do a lot of reps,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd it feels like, the only thing I can compare it to, is like I just worked out, like an upper body workout, every single time we do those lifts because there\u2019s a lot of legs and upper body you have to do to kind of be strong during that.\u201d<\/p>\n Graziadei went on to state that \u201cthe transformation of your body through dancing is wild\u201d and it\u2019s something he hopes to continue to explore. \u201cIf I could do this every day, I would because I would never be out of shape and it\u2019s amazing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Graziadei dominated the competition throughout season 33 of DWTS<\/em>, often landing at the top of the leaderboard with Johnson, 30, and he made history during the show\u2019s Tuesday, November 26, season finale<\/a> by becoming the first former Bachelor to win the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t even know how I felt. I honestly blacked out,\u201d Graziadei told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> after the victory. \u201cI remember this [trophy] was heavier than I thought it was going to be and that was about it. That\u2019s where we\u2019re at now. And now we\u2019re here.\u201d<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Johnson, for her part, told Us<\/em> she felt \u201cso much sheer love and joy\u201d being presented the trophy by her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy<\/strong>. \u201cHe\u2019s been my number one supporter through this,\u201d she gushed. \u201cHe\u2019s been mommy and daddy for us right now while I\u2019ve been getting ready for this finale. So, I\u2019m just so grateful for him.\u201d (The couple, who wed in 2019, share 22-month-old son Rome.)<\/p>\n Graziadei celebrated Johnson and his time on DWTS<\/em> in a heartfelt Instagram tribute<\/a> on Saturday, November 30, writing, \u201cJenna, from the bottom of my heart I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for crafting the experience of a lifetime<\/a>. Thank you for pushing me to be better than I thought I could ever be. Thank you for believing in me and making me feel like I belonged in a room full of exceptionally talented people. I mean it when I say that you have changed my life for the better.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to thanking his family, friends and Anderson, 26, Graziadei concluded his post by giving a special shout-out to his fans. \u201cThis would have never been possible without the support and love of all of you each week,\u201d he wrote alongside a montage of DWTS<\/em> rehearsal and performance clips. \u201cThank you for believing in me, voting for me, and bringing so much joy to my life.
