According to TPG&#8217;s November 2024 points and miles <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/loyalty-programs\/monthly-valuations\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">valuations<\/a>, AAdvantage miles are worth approximately 1.6 cents per mile. That&#8217;s currently the best of any U.S. airline, exceeding Delta SkyMiles (1.2 cents), United MileagePlus miles (1.35 cents), Southwest Rapid Rewards points (1.4 cents), <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/loyalty-programs\/alaska-mileage-plan-guide\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan<\/a> miles (1.4 cents) and <a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/loyalty-programs\/jetblue-trueblue-program\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JetBlue TrueBlue<\/a> points (1.3 cents).<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"how-to-keep-a-advantage-miles-from-expiring\" class=\"jsx-2362441780 anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"jsx-2362441780\">How to keep AAdvantage miles from expiring<\/h2>\n<p>We should also note that while AAdvantage miles technically expire after 24 months of account inactivity, it&#8217;s incredibly easy to keep your miles active.<\/p>\n<p>Earning or redeeming miles on just one flight will do the trick.
