\t\t<\/p>\n Luke Evans<\/strong><\/a> spoke very candidly about struggles with his body image. <\/p>\n The 45-year-old actor Beauty and the Beast<\/em> actor recalled a recent trip to the beach where he was hesitant to take his shirt off in front of others. <\/p>\n He admitted that those hesitations are something that he\u2019s struggled with for years and explained why he felt that it was important to share his truth with fans. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n While on the How to Fail With Elizabeth Day<\/a><\/em> podcast, Luke<\/strong> said that he\u2019s \u201cnot massively confident about a lot of things about me, but I\u2019ve learned to deal with it and ignore it and understand why and process it.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cIt doesn\u2019t go away,\u201d he added, via Us Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n Reflecting on his day at the beach, Luke<\/strong> said, \u201cI did finally take my T-shirt off on the beach, but it took me about three Long Island iced teas and a bit of confidence\u2026 and then I took my top off.\u201d<\/p>\n He feels that it\u2019s \u201cimportant for people to know that I outwardly present this strong character, but I suffer with insecurities and lack of confidence and self-worth and all those things.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a little boy inside of me \u2014 we all carry our little kids, our little people, [and] they\u2019re with us all of our lives,\u201d he said. \u201cThe one I carry was bullied and I didn\u2019t like who he was and I have that with me now, but as an adult I understand it and so it doesn\u2019t consume me. It doesn\u2019t stop me from doing stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve had to learn to be kinder to myself,\u201d Luke<\/strong> added. \u201cI did have terrible anxiety about feeling good enough physically [and] part of that isn\u2019t completely bad \u2013 it gives you a little something to fight for.\u201d<\/p>\n If you missed it, Luke<\/strong> recently revealed what he loves most about his longtime boyfriend<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
